Although not an MV in the picture, a good example of how things can go wrong around powerlines if one is not careful!
Driver was attempting to throw a cable over the logs to secure them. He hooked the power line instead. 7200 volts direct to ground. Driver noted that tires started to fry almost...
MAJOR,
I did some research a while ago on phase converters for a 3kw and they were not too expensive but not really worth it for my use. If you didn't need all 15kw at 60 cycles, I suppose there might be a way to convert only some for 60 cycle use that would not be prohibitively expensive. Pull...
JasonS,
Whether or not some engines from the same time period as the Multifuel share one similar design feature is not particularly relevant. What you need to find out is whether or not those engines will (or would) have run on the same variety of fuels as the multifuel with or without the FDC...
It doesn't hurt to put one on each line. If the heater or one of the hoses starts leaking, you are able to isolate the whole system right at the engine and only lose the coolant in the heater loop.

The Marine Corps Reserves in Manchester are running the Toys for Tots for the whole state except for three counties. I hooked up with them to place the truck at the Toys-R-Us in Manchester yesterday. On tne road at 0530 at 14 degrees for Manchester through some of the most devastated areas of...
I wasn't at home when I had to clean out the tank so I used what was at hand. I siphoned out most of the fuel except for the sludge and tidbits on the very bottom then pulled the plug and drained it. Believe it or not, I then used a garden hose with a straight nozzle on it and blasted the...
Exact symptoms as I had a while ago and it turned out to be it was starving for fuel because a rusty sludge was clogging the primary filter in 40-60 miles. So, even though you changed the filters not too long ago, check the primary again and look for a rust colored sludge buildup in it. You may...
