I have that seat cushion I promised you. It is currently in a 813, but I will get it sent to you. I would leave it alone too, just do like I did and when it is working, lay off the fuel and drop a gear. When pulling other deuces with it, I did not lean on it. With a little common sense, I am...
This is the video I like of that old deuce, but in this conversation it is not really fair as I picked the steepest hill around here and made it work all the way through. Not overly long and shifting around 2000. I just do not run them as tight as some people. I could not tell you if this truck...
These four I have been driving since you bought that one are mild mannered. That thing has power to burn and I miss the smoke. I am sure we could work out an equitable trade! I posted the same thing a while back and some of the guys said it looked normal to them. Maybe we should just swap...
Sounds like it is a little tight, depends a lot on ambient temperatures of course. They do not have much way to shed heat. I would not worry about it myself. How did it feel in comparison to the tires? Glen

That would be a smoking deal for a truck like that with tow bar in Kansas. The D is the non-whistler turbo. I thought I wanted a C or whistler until I actually bought one. Now I am glad I had the D first. Much nicer to live with. If you do not mind getting dirty and are mechanically inclined...
Multi-Mog is what I was suggesting. There was a few of the Mob ambulance and firetruck boxes floating around. They look like they would be about right in length and width for your shortened deuce frame. Hitch and a 105....... Glen
Some states have a percentage of vehicle weight rule. Take your empty trailer and try a couple of panic stops, go up in 5 mph increments from about 20 mph. If you tell yourself you can drive ahead, think back on the times that other people did not let you drive ahead. Unfortunately the general...
Also watch your lift pump, my first M1008 puddled everywhere it had been parked. It was dripping off of the lift pump, taking an indirect path down the pan rail to the back of the block, where it would finally drip to the ground. Glen
There were a few in Texas as well. The ones at Riley have the wiring harnesses cut, not only did they remove the panels, they used some sort of cutter and just snipped the harnesses. Most are harness side of the wire tags which means you chase the wire to its source to connect properly. All...
