    1967 Deuce recovery... temporary driver

Yes it is! To clue the rest in, I called Chris last night, this truck hangs a fast idle, around 1000 rpm when you stop at a light or sign for instance. It is kind of unusual in that a quick tap on the accelerator pedal will drop it right to 650 to 700. I also noticed that without touching the...

    1967 Deuce recovery... temporary driver

I had one of the Haspin T shirts on and it is fairly heavy. I stopped at Sapp Bros on US77 at I70 and bought fuel, I also bought two liters of water. I stopped 20 miles later in Abilene for another liter of water. I did not originally post it, but I was feeling weak and my vision was graying as...

    1967 Deuce recovery... temporary driver

I could not find DEISEL FUEL!! This one does not smoke like my 72 did and it does not have the power either. It steers easier and the brakes are about the same. It sounds the same and makes a little more whining noise, but lacks the harmonic whine the 72 had on the road. Interesting how they...

    1967 Deuce recovery... temporary driver

This old deuce was looking pretty forlorn Thursday, now it is standing on its own. My partner was pretty surprised by it. The J pipe needs replaced and the driver's side troop seat might as well not be there, what a warped twisted up mess it is!

    1967 Deuce recovery... temporary driver

The air pressure is a little low, the compressor pumps right up and cycles, not sure if it is the gauge or the setting on the regulator. I will check with a different gauge before cranking up the pressure. Oil pressure fluctuates very little and it runs cool. This is a nice driving old deuce...

    1967 Deuce recovery... temporary driver

The photos are in the other thread, I took some more today! We did not get the M820s picked up yet and I wanted to drive this thing, so yesterday I took on the task of fixing the chopped up harness. The wires were cut up in the harness, the tags are on the wire hanging on the instruments. I...

    1967 Deuce recovery... temporary driver

Recently I sold my two deuces, being without one was rougher than I would have dreamed. We bought three rough looking deuces around the first of July and I recovered one last Thursday, the 4th of August. Here is the post I dropped in the How Cold is it thread.... It was 90 degrees with 55...

So easy a girl can do it....driver training results.

I have two deuces to pick up at Riley, need a second driver.... Seriously though, they looked liked they were having fun and fun times spent with Dad are times we never forget. Wish I had done more with Dad when I still could. Wish I had more time with my boys than I did..... Enjoy these good...

The green fever has set in!!!

Coming from Maccus, I am betting it does not need much, if anything, mechanically. That guy knows his deuces. I was kind of waiting in the background to see if you were going to buy it. I need another trip up that way.... Good score! Glen

What to look for in a M1009 CUCV?

That is one of the great things about driving the old Dodge around, nobody notices it and we just blend right in wherever we go. If you really want to disappear, take out the old Graham Bros truck... life is good.... Glen

What to look for in a M1009 CUCV?

Tail gate rust and rear window regulators. They have a tendency to leak around the top and drip on the inside floor, it runs forward and gets into the seams behind the seats. It is a very hard problem to fix, once rusty there as the panels overlap. The rear quarters and the front body mounts...

    M109 Mobile Man Cave Begins

Be glad to have you back in Kansas! I enjoyed your company... sorry to hear about the losses. Glen

    M109 recovery trip.

There is a spot on KC that looks a lot like your Tampa shot, thanks for the photos! Glen

    M715's Good or Bad ??

We used rocker panels for a full sized Cherokee Chief to fix ours, just cut off the excess. They were much cheaper to buy and much easier to find. The floor I swiped out of another 715 that we used for parts. As I recall, there are some doubled overlaps and spot welded areas that are hard to get...

    Flywheel reversed thread?

I use a long wrench and a hammer. Apply some pressure to the wrench, then smack it with a hammer. Next best thing to an impact, especially if you are not removing the transmission/transfer case from the truck. I just use long bolts to keep the alignment between bell and block, and roll the trans...

    Ugent help needed near cincinatti!!!

1 1/2 inch lug nut size. I hope you have a strong breaker bar.

U have been wondering the same, did you even try to fire it up?

So I had this crazy idea, how about this for an engine for my A3...

I have five ton transmissions and transfer cases to go with your new found power as well. As far as that goes, we can fix you up with a five ton truck that needs an engine. You still will not be running 80 though. Glen

So I had this crazy idea, how about this for an engine for my A3...

I have a set of five ton axles and springs you can swap in to give you more load carrying capacity.
