I bought my boost gauge and pyrometer from Hewitt Industries. The pyro does not require any power connections, which is just one less thing to hassel with when installing. It works great, and by not needing any power, it works all the time. I am very happy with both instruments.
Let me see if I have this right, you replaced a 24 volt starter and a 24 volt alternator with 12 volt units, and you want to know why your 24 volt gauges don't work?

Welcome! Nice ride, looks as though you got a good one! If you have not already done so, educate yourself by downloading the TM's for your new girl. You have been warned there is no cure for the "Greenironitis". Enjoy!
Just remember, Hagerty requires you to keep your vehicle in a secured building, and won't insure riders in the back of truck...not even in parades. That's how Gulfway won my business.
The brake light switch should be located on the front of the master cylinder. Feel free to download the TM's for your truck, as there is a lot of good information there. Welcome to the madness, for which there is no cure.

Strange numbers. The F is usually between the Batallion and Field Arty number, and the Division number comes first, for example:
8 3F16 8th Division, 3rd Batallion, 16th Field Artillery (my unit in Germany)
41-9-1F? CML 45? I'm at a loss. I do agree with pad_cdr CML is an acronym for chemical.
You might want to ask the Guys over at the G838 Forum, or maybe search their Forum as I'm sure your question has been asked.
