Ouch! For $110 I can climb under the truck all day and drain the tanks. But on the other hand, they might be nice for someone physically not able to drain tanks.
I had a set of those cable operated drains on my A2, I wasn't impressed. They get dirty and don't seal right after draining, and that gives you a air leak to chase down. The drain petcocks in my opinion don't work well either, they fill up with crap causing your tanks not to drain completely. I...

Looks like it's a 900 Series 5 Ton Cargo Cover.
First of all, he is very unclear on what doesn't work, power when the switch is off, no power when the switch is on, his description makes no sense. Photos would probably help the diagnoses. Secondly, he is going to spend alot more money to change everything out that is needed for his...

Adding a 12 VDC Charging Circuit
Turn signal flasher, starter motor solenoid, air horn solenoid, coil for flame heater, and heater fan motor also. Not a well thought out plan. Here is what Rosscommon has to say:
My suggestion echos with some of the others. Put the 24 volt system back in, and install a seperate 12 volt system. Numerous guys and FD's have installed this addition to the Deuce with great results. The system requires a one wire alternator (Delco SI), some bracketry, a belt, and a serparate...
I'm with McMullag on this one. We both use a fuel additive, year round. Diesel doesn't have the lubricity it used to have since they removed most of the sulpher from it. In order to keep your IP from going to the rebuilder, I strongly recommend an additive. Just for fun, McMullag's Deuce and...

I drilled and tapped a hole in the manifold right above the turbo. They have different lengths of sensor wires. Hope this helps you Ron.

Just to clear things up a little, folks are telling you to check your grounds. While this is good information, the horn solenoid has a constant (+) 24 volts to it, the circuit is completed by grounding (-) the solenoid via the horn button. The circuit is not like a light circuit where you switch...
