I found a wire (No#10) near the airhorn that's disconnected and plugged, wonder if that isn't it? Thinking maybe troops got tired of the buzzer when parked for long periods of time? Don't feel like crawling around in the snow right now so it will wait a few more days/weeks in MN.
Looking for the radiator cap assembly(spring, gasket and lower/upper cap). Where can I get the entire assembly? I can only find the cap looking online.
M923A2 I've searched the TM's and the site and can't find much on the parking brake indicator. It's pretty much the only thing on this truck that doesn't work. Replaced the bulb of course with known good. Any ideas where to start? Where is the switch located for activating the parking brake...
Did you add the "Europe" placards(Have no idea what they are called)? Where did you get them? I came on my M1009 but always thought about putting them on my trucks. Nice job on the backup lights!
I've got the turret top on mine, the Army sealed it up with a piece of metal bolted in. Water collects in there if i leave the deuce out even with all the sealer they put around it. Are you going to sell the soft top and associated hardware? I might be interested.
I just got an M923A2 myself, $3250, I had to have the top restitched at the front, CTIS works great. I'm missing the extension bar and hardware for the spare tire carrier and mine has almost 30K on the odometer. YOU sir got a real steal! Congrats!
My boom is missing all the hardware and telescoping bar. Can someone post pics and dimensions for the bars that telescope form the basic boom? I believe all the 923's share the same parts except for the basic part
Is the return spring present? I have an A2 that had a low idle and the TM's were total BS. I had to remove the entire linkage, adjust and tighten to get the idle speed right. I noticed if one spring broke it would probably runaway.
Can someone post a pic or two of the Spare tire carrier slider and winch for an A1 or A2? I either need to fabricate or improvise. I have the basic boom, but no extension or winch.
JBL recovered and delivered my M923A2 for me. Runs great! Needs the idle turned up, by 200 rpm which he showed me how to do. Soft-top ripped away at the front. Anyone know where i can get a new top reasonable?
Throttle cable is kinked, need to replace that. Didn't get a **** thing in the goodie...
Jeff is literally an hour or two away from delivering my 923A2. He recovered an M1009 a year ago for me, and recovered this M923A2 and is delivering it momentarily..... Good guy to deal with.
