Just so I'm clear on this, I have to remove the outer bearing race from the hub to replace the outer quad seal? In other words behind the outer bearing race there should be a quad seal and bearing seal retainer?
Anyone have a picture of where the quad seal is supposed to be?
Pulled a hub to find my A3 outer bearing was well washed of grease explaining the air leak out of the axle vent when using CTIS.
I don't see a quad seal on the outer bearing. The schematics don't really show where exactly the...
Yep Oring. A lot of work. Best to replace the grommet too and possibly the nut for the grommet while you are at it. Use the TM. Proper torques are crucial on the rim nuts. Also while the rims are seperated examine the groove the oring sits in. My second wheel had to be done twice. Had to be...
Yes you would. bend around the back of the tire and spray around the grommet. Also spray around the hole where the tube goes through the rim. If you get bubbling in the hole, it's an ORING(where the two rims meet). If you get bubbling at the grommet, it's the grommet. Either way you'll have to...
Seriously? ****. I like the fact it's on wheels too... Be easy to roll it into my garage..... Good STEAL! I did 9 months on CNC's way back when, a little bit of programming. It's my dream to eventually get a CNC knee mill.
Much better shot. I'd try tightening up that compression fitting if that's where it's coming from. If that doesn't solve it, take it off and see how the tubing and brass insert look. Maybe replace them.
Where is that ,under the dash? Well it's not the air conditioning..... :) Doooh missed near the steering column in your post.
A quick look tells me it has to do with the locker on the front axle, the air lines coming off the branch go to the front axle switch.
Yours looks a bit different than...
Depends on the state laws, here in MN:
Do I need a DOT health card?
A driver is required to have a current and valid DOT health card (medical examiner's certificate) if operating a vehicle that is:

Sorry couldn't resist. I remember the commercials when I lived in PA about 17 years ago....
We don't mask off anything and don't drive it in the rain either hehe.
WTF, I'm paying above $600 a year no set replacement value, full coverage and I have all my policies with them. Time to pitch a fit with my insurance agent.
Exactly how can they sell you a policy knowing full well what the vehicle is, The vin, and you pay it then not pay on a claim? Sounds like a lawsuit against them.
