We drive ours everyday, very seldom do they not go someplace. It gets as hot here as it does anyplace in the US and we usually get a dose of humidity with it. Open the vents, crank the wing window around, hit the trail! If you had to wear a suit and tie everyday, I would say find something with...
Stopped by "longshot" today and bought some solvent and sealer for my top. It has a couple of small tears. I plan to cut up a flap off of one of my 105 trailers for a patch. I think I will double it at the bows if the stuff works correctly.
A. When do I need an International Fuel Tax license and decal?
You are required to have an IFTA license if you operate in two or more jurisdictions and the power unit:
Has two axles and a gross vehicle weight or registered gross vehicle weight of 26,001 lbs. or higher;
Has three or more axles...
My deuce came from Ellsworth AFB Rapid City, Deuceman was kind enough to let us use his place as a halfway meeting and recovery location. It was brrrrrrrrr up there in February, I could have spent a week there looking at all the variations and history. A couple of photos going and coming. Glen
77 miles away is a fellow member, Deuceman51, he has around 40 deuces in Scotland and a lot of parts. If you need anything or want an education, he is a great contact. Glen
Six deuce tires and wheels, two white shepherds, a full tank of fuel, some fluids, big old boy in the drivers seat and some tools.... scaled at 8220. It was hauling the load easy enough and rode pretty smooth, just enough weight to take out some of the bounce.....M1008... Glen
My M1008 scaled at 8220 today, myself, some tools, some liquids, two white shepherds and 6 deuce tires and wheels on board. I changed out the two odd ball tires on the rear axle, an old Armstrong "Rhino" and another old Denman. They were hard, well seasoned! I was going to swap out some of the...
I braved the Wal Mart parking lot and held my own, no new damage to the deuce or cars on the lot. I jokingly asked the guy in the tire service bay if he could balance my tires and wheels in the next 20 minutes. He said "You gotta be kidding" I set him at ease with a "Yes I am"
I pulled six new...
At the drum, backed off the handle first. Should be good for a couple of years now. Shoes look new still..
Aired up the tires today. I plan to replace four tires tomorrow.
I fixed my horn earlier in the week. I changed the primary filter, bought some filter gaskets. I have spares if somebody needs some. Last night it got new rear axle seals. I adjusted the emergency brake......
I use clean solvent to rinse the inside and soak the residue out with towels. I prefer the blue paper shop towels as the metal particles are easy to see. A gallon of solvent dispensed through a spray bottle will do a lot of cleaning! Glen
I am betting a plugged primary fuel filter with a leaking gasket there. Not sure about the noise though, mine makes lots of noises. You would think the whole nose was falling apart at idle, but sweet harmony is the rule by 1000 rpm. Glen
The in tank pumps have been known to come apart, yet still make motor noise. If the tank is less than half full, pull the strainer attached to the fuel cap and look inside. A good pump should really agitate the fuel. alternatively, open the drain on the primary filter, right front of the engine...
