:ditto: what SixSpeed said. I did come across a gentleman in a deuce on the side of the road a month or so back. The heater water shut off valve had broken washing down the engine with antifreeze. Anyway i believe he was heading to Rhode Island and no gauges at all. Had been removed by GL.
If your car washes are anything like they are here you need to take a sh!! load of quarters. I hadn't been to one in years but used one a couple months ago. I think I can buy a high temp pressure washer for what 3 or 4 trips to the car wash costs now.
You might try these. They both have parts for generators that these engines are used on.

I always put a light coating in any hubs I do. I was told 30+ years ago one of the reasons for doing this was it could help prevent any material shed by one bearing, because of wear or failure, from migrating to the other. Sounded good to me at the time and it can't hurt anything. Hasn't caused...
I feel your pain. Been there, done that. got the t-shirt. I hope you recover quickly. I know the pain killers they gave me where top notch. Would take one and you could have beat me with a bat and I wouldn't have felt a thing.
Unless you are building a mud racer or going to drop in a rat motor I would stick with the 208. lighter than the 205 and better low range than a 205. 2cents
I wouldn't throw in the towel yet, but I wouldn't run it anymore. Just a WAG on my part but sounds like a seal on the injection pump drive is leaking and allowing fuel to enter the crankcase.
