I would like one of those old Husky Dog hood ornament, they spelled HUSKIE on a little plate below the ornament. I saw one on an old Power Wagon, years and years ago. I always thought it was cool. Glen
Are you the M715 driver I saw in southern Hutch hauling some tree limbs? I was surprised to see the truck around. I would have been glad to help you go get the M1008. Glen
I have some tires and wheels to pick up, if the mud hole ever dries up. Six mounted 900X20 NDTs will take care of that bounce. The 105 sure rolls nice and smooth back there. I should swap my front tires off of my truck for the new ones on the trailer!
My duals are as wide as my driveway entrance and the deuce is longer than my residential street is wide. If we have two cars parked along side the street, we have to single file between them in our cars. I should measure the street, I am guessing around 20 feet wide.
I must be too easy on mine, it seldom sees 2200 and I do not think it has seen 2400 yet, in the 2500 miles I have driven it. Do you guys really run them that hard? Just sit on 2600 and run? Just curious, Glen
It was easier today, but the initial turn from the street is tough. Once I get it semi lined up in the driveway it is smooth sailing, just watch the tire at the bottom corner of the box. It helped a lot having the other mirror too. I am thinking maybe I need to store my trailer out at my buddy's...
I am not arguing with you at all, in your neck of the woods, you might be right. Around here we are usually very dry. So when we get a good soaking or thaw, every dust filled wallowed out spot becomes a slick basin. Climbing out of draws or creek banks can be very challenging for a wide tire...
I do have a lot of experience, but it is for my area. I cannot say what kind of soils other people run into, but for the most part here, two identical trucks, one equipped with a tall narrow open treaded tire and one equipped with a tall wide tire, the narrow tired truck will make the wide tired...
That would depend upon the mud. If you are swamp mudding the bigger floatation might help. Around my part of the world a tall narrow open tread design is much better than the wide stuff. We do not have much sand. Wide tires quickly translate into no steering. The ability to cut down to firmer...
Riley auctioned off some nice old 105s, they were from the mid 1950s to the late 1960s. I wanted a Turtle Mountain, just for my wife's turtle addiction, but they went high. I managed to get six nice 105s at one time. I would like to find a couple more if the price is right. Glen
I live on a fairly narrow two lane street, narrow enough that meeting cars normally pull to the curb to let the other go by. My driveway was designed for Model A Fords, or maybe Model T Fords. It is a tough hole to hit. I had it mastered with my bass boat and my Blazer. The M1008 makes short...
I had not attempted backing the M105 with the deuce, so I had to try it today. I hooked her up and took the dogs out for a run. The deuce sure pulls that trailer easy! It really is one of those you do not know its back there deals, but it does bounce on the hitch once in a while. Truck and...
