Although I don't understand your "high" oil pressure concern, I sincerely doubt swapping over to a spin-on oil filter conversion kit would damage your motor. Too bad you don't have a baseline to go by.
I can understand why this has been going on for so many years, it is a wonderful parade and celebration. I was raised in Torrance and fondly remember many Armed Forces Days, I'm sure that's where I fell in love with Military Vehicles...
What are you getting filtered air to? Don't the axle vents expell air pressure built up in the transfer case, tranny, and axles? I guess I just don't understand the need for a filter, since the air is coming out of the system.
Some AF knucklehead tore up the bumper pretty good by not paying attention to where the wire rope ends and the chain starts on the winch line. I got a used replacement bumper and found out all the holes don't line up for an easy install, so last night I removed all the bolts in the front bumper...
Yikes! $10,500? I bought mine 2 years ago, and by the looks of things, just in time. Just curious though Cougar, how do we assume because they were AF, they were well taken care of? I haven't seen any maitenance differences between AF or any of the other Branches. Do you have a secret? :grin:
