M809 Ball and Claw axle shaft re-assembly steps<

Mine was never apart in 2 pieces but I had to fight those balls the entire time putting the shaft back in. Two would fall out but never three. I had to flex the joint just right to get the balls back in and pinching my brother's fingers in the process was a risk I was willing take...😆...

Is there any shimming to do after the swap or is it just a carrier change over?

    My M813 gets a turbo!

This is a new video to show some turbo sounds and some jake brake action. Wasn't building much boost or temps - just getting some fuel and cruising around. Since the last video I've switched from 11.00s to 16.00s so my shift points and rpms are different.

    Superthermal's M813 Build, THE BOT

I like it! I drove mine to work yesterday and it just ran super smooth; no vibrations, rattles or tire hopping and felt like really strong power. Not sure if it was the temps or what but everything was working superb!

Post up those Point of View hood shots!

Wenatchee & East Wenatchee are divided by the Columbia River in the middle of the state. To the west is woodlands and to the east is high desert. This picture is looking to the east and at ~600' asl. Seattle is very nice in the summer and very wet the rest of the time. The east side of the...

    M817 Master cylinder

The standard cap just has a vent as far as I know. If there's a tube there it's either for a fording kit or a remote reservoir.

Here I go again, only bigger this time. (M51A1 resurrection)

It's often advised to drain the t-case, fill it with diesel, and go for a 10+ minute or so drive with it to clean the sprag & t-case of built up junk, and then drain & replace with gear oil.

5 ton combat wheel on M54, inserts required???

You don't need the run flat insert, but I'm gonna say you do want the Hutchinson bead lock inserts. I've heard of some folks mounting tires w/o the bead locks but it's more difficult to seat the tire and there's a risk of a tire coming off the bead while driving which could cause a loss of...

    M54A2 Brake lines

This is what I was getting hung up on. Looks like one 90 followed by another but the pic of lines on the floor clearly show flex lines. Carry on.

    M54A2 Brake lines

It could be an optical delusion...lol...but I've never seen a soft line that can hold the memory of (2) 90 degree bends. Could be something new I'm not familiar with.
