That is NOT the correct part number for S14. As noted before, its not a relay even though it fits the same base. Order the correct part from @kloppk and go from there.

According to one of the spec sheets I grabbed, the charging power is 200a which is around 10kw. That would be a good fit for a MEP803.
Maybe the OP can let us know if this is the correct info for the model he has...
I should be getting 48, 314ah cells this week to switch out with my aging chevy volt packs. Not looking forward to tearing everything apart and rebuilding it but on the plus side, I should be in good shape for a long time.
The only reason I'm not a vet is due to a bad motorcycle crash. My military career was over before it started.
I don't know if I would have been a good soldier but I can say is I sleep very well when the MEP is purring nearby.
I'm sure Kurt will be able to answer your question better than I but I'll take a swing at it. From my understanding its the failure mode of the transistor that drives the quad windings. When it fails, it shorts and causes full upstream power to get dumped into the coils. Its more than they were...
They start easily down to around freezing even with no glowplugs. Below that some preheat on the plugs will get it going, no problem.
If it gets REALLY cold, I'll break this puppy out. :D
Have you called and talked to the person on the phone? What was your impression? Did they seem to know anything about the machine or the generators in general? Have they done any maintenance? Have they run it? Load tested it? The conversation should be very informative on what you should be...
If you find that each half of the inverter can handle 1.5kw, you can put it back into 120v mode and put a jumper between L1 and L2 to test. It could be that the relay that does that internally has a problem.
I just went out to check on things and the roads are covered in snow compacted and frozen solid by freezing rain. It doesn't even leave footprints when you walk on it. So far the power is still on. The trees have a decent glaze of ice but not so much that they look heavy. Yesterday I covered the...
Well, I got called to extract a neighbors vehicle from a ditch. Just got back from that fun adventure. The roads around me are really bad. We have had snow and freezing rain for the last few hours. We may just have to fire the generators up yet...
I hope they aren't in the path of the "icy" part of the storm. The snow is finally falling here at a rate that I would call snowing. Still got a big dewpoint to temperature spread so the flakes are really small. The chickens are really confused. They haven't seen snow before.
I got a message today from someone wanting one RIGHT NOW. Had to tell him that I get them ready as people want to buy them and it will take me a week or so to have one ready for them.
