I tried that for an like almost 2 hours, it just came up on either side and wouldn't move anymore, I ended up cutting it in half with a dremel and then I was able to beat it out. Is there any chance I had the pulley on the wrong side which caused it to open up inside? I remember that pulley...

Anyone here has try removing the key before? I've been messing with it for 2 hours and only have moved it up on each side. My next plan is to cut it in half but the weather messed me up

I got the pulley off, I used a piece of metal to brace the bottom of it and pull it off with a crowbar on top. Now the question is this key on the generator is still good? it looks like the top of it got dented in a bit at the edge. Also, have anyone had this happen on their pulley? Its crazy...

Yea I cleaned it, number 5, my shaft has this sqaure looking key as well, but I thought it was part of the shaft, not a part that can be removed. I'm also missing that washer on the outside, I only had a nut
