    Trailer ID Info

I had a similar one a few years back, but the drawbar was round tube instead of square. Mine was officially called "Trailer 2 wheel utility pole type 2.5ton". Mine didn't have a build date on the dataplate but one date on it said 1951. There are pics of similar ones on the g503 website...

Is your deuce a factory dump truck or did you convert an m35 to dump?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

If I did that I'd never tell anyone about it. You can probably get that fixed for a whole lot cheaper than replacing it.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I guess the point is that some people don't like the particular brand of oil filter someone else bought for their truck, is that right? Does it concern you that the world's largest retailer also sells the particular brand of filter that you use on your cars, trucks, and generators? In your...

Now that's the scientific evidence we've been waiting for! Walmart also sells Wix filters.:)

    M108 deuce wrecker engine swap

Early multifuels had reversible headlight panels. At least in 1966 still. I was going to use them on my repower but decided to use the newer style.

    M108 deuce wrecker engine swap

The original hood will work fine but the gasser grille is an inch shorter than the multifuel grilles.

    M108 deuce wrecker engine swap

It's looking really good! Is that a gasser grille on it or am I just seeing things?

    M1010 box weight

One of the Drash trailers might be a decent starting point for an m1010 box hauler.

Nice truck. Good luck with the trip.

    1951 m104 Trailer

The TM doesn't specifically state a reason for the front gate. It would be nice for a genset if you needed the clearance to work on it. An article in MV magazine stated that the front tailgate was to allow the trailer to haul long cargo and poles. It would add a little over 3 feet of usable...

M1009 rear tailgate glass, they supposed to go all the way down?

It should go lower than that but it won't go all the way down. Probably less than 1/2" will stick up. Not the best design in my opinion.

    1951 m104 Trailer

I got the lunette out since that needed to be flipped back up, removed the tailgates, and test fitted the m105 gate. That will work good after welding on some new brackets for the hooks, welding up the mystery squares and a couple other minor changes. After a bit of clean up the canvas covers...

    What does this knob do?

I've read through quite a few of the TMs and never noticed it listed, I doubt it's in there. The seat also doesn't look right to me. Unless I'm seeing things funny it looks more like a box driver's seat but in the middle of the cab, definitely not a regular passenger seat.

    What does this knob do?

I’ve never seen that on a deuce before, looks like an add on. What’s it connected to?

    1951 m104 Trailer

Some more pictures. The bed actually does need a fair bit of welding which is to be expected I guess. The rear tailgate needs quite a bit of work too but I picked up an NOS m105 gate with it that at a glance looks the same with just a couple small changes needed. I also got a couple canvas...
