IMHO one of the keys beside insulating to reduce the heat in the solar oven we call a cab.. is getting the heat OUT when the truck is not in us as well when in use. When not in use; maybe via solar powered vents high on back wall or roof and some others much lower and keep pulling air thru it...
The sleeve (what most call a "bag" ) is made by couple manufactures. They just happen to buy them on contract from firestone. Not sure if the size/design of the sleeve is out of the ordinary butttt I think not... since they have had previously made these using other manufactures sleeves.
Here is a possible solution someone found . Might have to trim or re-fab the bracket so not to hit tires.. esp. if you go to larger tires..."ADD LIMIT STRAP"? if you don't trust shock to hold rear of cab on chassis in accident. .. Drawing appears to be the item after bag is fully expanded...
be aware of your local laws. Besides...... there is logic to keeping Emergency Red light use to where they attract attention for emergency reasons. Over-saturation of red light use would cause folk to begin to ignore them; hence why it is against the law to use them in many places (same with...
only confirming the one I bought and put on my truck. (pics). Ebay one is same type...

Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
I only want to see you bathing in the purple rain.....
well these two pics on my end are purple that is.
hummer alt. pics w/ numbers
you have to:
> slightly drill larger holes in the alternator ears (FMTV larger bolt)
> need to make spacers for said longer/larger bolt to hit both the ears which are farther apart than FMTV bracket takes. pretty simple>
> move the regulator however you...
Maybe do the cleaning in batch areas with other stuff covered. Stop.... check all your electronics including esp trans shifting... cover that part and move to another area, stop check all the electronics.... Wash, Rinse, Repeat (literally lol) .... aka... while your spraying water on it...
Time to use a UV oil leak detector. This is the autozone loaner version. You loan it out at full price but they give back most of it when you return it. You have to buy the dye for around 10 bucks. Oriely's likely as similar. Not sure but would expect you have to clean the shiat out of...
@RRaulston - maybe you can get the white Ring from Power Packer who makes these units. Was honestly shocked CAT even had a clue where to look.
otherwise you might could try super glue sprinkled with baking soda to fix the ring? shape it as needed with Drimel tool orr? ?
Looks like a Lazy Depot mechanic scratched in your "D". That is far more plausible than it not getting done cause the order was ALL LMTV TRUCKS to be upgraded and from that point forward all following trucks to be manufactured with these stronger components ouf of the factory
what is date of delivery? if it was delivered much further out from 95 manufacture ..... then my understanding is the upgrade was automatic. Example my 1994 build has a 1997 Delivery. No D ("D"epot) mark... Same as all the newer trucks that left the plant in 97.... Seally plant was closed for...
Assume things are much colder there for you now right?? Try button from different spots on the botton.... wiggle it as you push..... Cold makes things contract.... making connections even further apart... aka.... look for simple. things first... maybe button internals not making good...
