    I added a bigger air tank to my m269 wrecker low boy because of the small tank on it . my m52a2 pulls it fine about 45 mph that just what my truck runs . I think the m52a2 could use larger air tanks .

    could this motor have been put together with out the metal sleeves that go between the intake manifold and the head . a new intake gasket will work for a little while but then it will start sucking air . I had this happen on gmc 302 and chevy 235 motors

    spin on filters are great . on my m52a2 and the old canister filters did not always seam to drain back to the motor all the time so I would think the oil level was low . being new to the truck I was not sure of how much this motor actually used . with the spin ons they hold the oil and the oil...

    air cylinders from E bay . The rear winch uses a cylinder to shift the transfer case pto in and out of gear .the control is mounted behind the passengers seat

    I used air cylinders to operate shifting the winch on my m52a2 from the cab the small valve on the side is used to slow the air down so the cylinder is not slamming it in or out .the cylinder is not used to hold it in or out just to shift it .

    found this truck while backpacking in Colorado near Wolff creek pass it looks vary wore out . the bell housing had lots of welded up cracks I'm not sure of the make of the truck . it sits on a old logging road maybe used to pull logs down the trails ?
