I finally gave in and got an m35a3

That is a great looking truck. Sorry I couldn't stay and help you get it going. Sounds good in the video!

My new M220 soon to be camper

That looks like a neat project. maccus...just noticed the truck in your avatar. Are you hiding something from us? I don't see any posts\photos about that truck from you if you own it.

The Canadian Military camo paint scheme that I have seen on some of these trucks looks really cool. Maybe some of the Canadian guys will post photos of it. I'll try to find some pictures and post them up for you in a day or two if our northern brothers don't beat me to it.

    1952 M135 W/Winch

My brother was in Oklahoma City for the weekend and brought 10 of the 1100X20's off his 5 ton for me to put on the M135's. He put super singles on his M818. Looks like I have a bunch of tires to break down so I can put them on M135 rims. The work never stops, but I am happy with the tires...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

TM 9-8647 came in today. It goes into a lot of detail on rebuilding our carburetors and governors. I highly recommend buying it if any of you have the chance. Lots of pictures too. I'll try to scan what is specific to the Holley 885-FFG and post it up here for all of us. More carburetor kits...

Just checked the one on my M135 at the house and it looks just like yours. Mine does not have play in the steering. I'll try to get by two of my other M135's later this week and check those.

Ok. Tested the fuel pressure and it is exactly 4 psi. The TM says the fuel pump pressure is 2.5 - 3 psi. Would 1 psi extra cause the fuel to blow past the needle and flood the bowl? I have not tried a gravity fed line from a fuel can yet.

I think it is something simple. Hopefully the fuel pressure. Will report back as soon as I can.

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I have the stock fuel pump but have not checked to see how much pressure it is putting out. I will do that. Feels that way sometimes. I will check that. What regulator did you use? I found the Holley 12-804 and was considering that if the pressure from my stock military pump is too high.

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I finally got a chance to look at my carburetor this weekend. It was rebuilt in December, but is still not right. I thought maybe the float was set wrong and that was what was making it flood easy and load up at idle. The truck runs great at highway speeds (I stay around 45 mph), but stumbles...

That is a good looking M211!!! I would add a fuel filter just before the carburetor to keep things from plugging up. There is a screen inside the carburetor just above where the fuel line connects. That is probably full of junk. Here is a picture of what I am talking about. Please forgive the...

I have some of the boots at home. I'll look and see if I have enough for 12 wheel cylinders. I just called the local Napa and they have some of the boots in stock. PM sent to you.

1952 M35 Gasser repair and build

Sorry for taking so long. My scanner is not wanting to work or I would just post up the pages you need. Go to this link, open the TM and go to pages 155-157. This will tell you how to test the distributor. Page 222 shows how things are supposed to be hooked up in the distributor. Keep in mind...

1952 M35 Gasser repair and build

When I get home this evening, I will look up in my TM how to test. There is a way but I don't remember the process without the manual. The test works. I knew I had a condenser fail, replaced it with another one that was supposed to be good and still the same issue. That is when I tested by the...

1952 M35 Gasser repair and build

Could you post a picture of the inside of the distributor? I am curious to see if it is the same as the M135. If so, I will compare it to what I have and we will see. If the same, my TM tells how to test everything. I had to go through that too. It was a condenser. (This was before the cap cracked.)

    Window, Door, Windshield weatherstrip, etc

Post up what weatherstrip you have found that is or could be a replacement for what was on the G749s. Seems like we may have found some and it is listed in another thread. I thought I would try to get it in a central location for ease of locating later on. Door window run channel...
