    1952 M135 W/Winch

The front brakes are back together and working great as of today. I capped off the rear lines until I can redo the brakes on the back axles. Still stops great though Here are some part numbers for 1-1/2" bore wheel cylinders. Boots-NAPA 14509. Cups-NAPA 14451. I did manage to get most of the...

    302 Oil pan Gasket

The gasket pictured in that link does not appear to be right for our 302s.... if the picture is actually what gasket you would get. I have part number FPG OS3472C from NAPA for the pan gasket. As for the pan extension, I do not have a part number for that gasket yet. If you find some better...

    G749 Gauge Replacement

I forgot to add that I tried a fuel sending unit out of an M818 that I got the oil pressure gauge out of. That sending unit is, I believe, the same as in the M35A2. The float bends toward the front of the truck instead of toward the passenger side of the truck and will not work, since the float...

    G749 Gauge Replacement

The oil pressure gauge out of a 800 series 5 ton works. They are 0-120 psi. The military gauge hooked right into the civilian copper tube that was already installed and worked perfectly.

    G749 preservation

Won't the piston out of the 5 ton airpac interchange with the G749 airpac so that we can use the 5 ton rebuild kit?

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I believe that 41121215 is correct. This truck also has the early tailgate intact. I wish 556 was in better shape. Both were driven to where they sit 15 years ago and left to deteriorate. Sorry the pics aren't the greatest. My camera quit working and these are cell phone pics. When I get the...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

Two more M135s The work continues on my M135. I had the brake shoes relined locally and am waiting on wheel cylinder boots to come in so that I can put everything back together. I the mean time. I found two more M135s that were about to be scrapped and added them to my collection. Here they...

A new arrival at the Kansas Museum of Military History a 1952 M135

Mine has the same kind of rear view mirror. It appears to be original PM me your email address and I will send you the latest parts list. Lots of new stuff added to it.

A new arrival at the Kansas Museum of Military History a 1952 M135

There are two bolt looking heads that protrude out of the back side of the backing plate that are for brake adjustment. Turn those toward the rear of the truck and see if that will back the brakes off and free things up.

    1952 M135 W/Winch

The number I have off of that seal is Victor 49961-M on one side and National 2280659. National's latest number was 6592S. They said they stopped making that seal years ago, so as of yet, I have not found a current replacement number....if anyone still makes the outer hub seal. For the inner...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

Got some work done on the truck but not as much as I would have liked. I had a late start since I had to go buy a jack and stands. Everything is coming off of the front axle nicely and it looks like the wheel cylinders are able to be rebuilt and have no pitting. The brake adjusters were not...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

That looks like what I am looking for. If time and weather allow, I am going to tear into an axle tomorrow. If I can find the right stuff, I will add the parts to our part list. There are a lot of part numbers on the G749 Crossover Sheet now and I have had to use it several times already. It has...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

Thanks for the info. I knew I had seen that somewhere but could not find it anywhere with the search function. I still need a part number for 'D'. I did get the timing set. My dad had a timing light that hooked up to the #1 plug wire. We went to adjust the carburetor and set the RPM's but the...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I am planning on starting to redo my brake system beginning this weekend or next and am trying to gather civilian part numbers for everything first. I think I have all the part numbers except for the outer hub oil seal. Does anyone have a part number for that or know if it is the same as the...

    G749 Gauge Replacement

My M135 has civilian temperature and oil pressure gauges and I would like to convert them back to military. With the old military gauges being quite high in price, will the gauges and sending units from more modern military trucks such as the M35/M800/M900 series work? I know that the newer...

    New to the Deuce world

The part number for the rear main seal is FPG BS5974 at NAPA. I need to change mine out as well in the near future. Our trucks look almost like the very same one with the color.

    G749 preservation

Looks like the leaves are not cooperating. What brand of paint is that and where do you get it? I like the color.
