Hard Top
Does anyone know what is a good price for a hard top and military heater for an M135? I found these and would like to buy them soon.
Here is a pic of the hard top. I was not able to get a pic of the heater that is on a different truck.
I got a little more work done on my truck...
Check this link out on removing the door glass. This is what I was telling you about last night. I know they are different trucks, but maybe the door glass comes out the same. Worth looking at...
Thanks! I have not put it back on yet since I am going to be restoring the inside of the cab of my M135. Not sure if I will use rivets or the same screws that were holding it on. I need to research it a little and find out what way would have been original. I'm guessing where and how it was...
Data Plates
I found this thread the other day about restoring faded data plates and decided to try to restore my truck's overhaul tag. Post #12 by MWMULES was very helpful. I used 1500 grit sandpaper instead of emery boards...
Hood markings
Thanks for the heads up klunk. I have been following your thread since your started it. My transmission oil cooler was not near as bad as yours. Only 1.5-2 inches of sludge. Heeding your warning, I did start checking things though as a precaution and water seems to be flowing as...
The last few days has allowed me to do some more work on my truck. I have been working on flushing the cooling system and am about done with that. The floor pan was pulled so I could get to the top of the transmission to check the front band. The pin was a little high, but is down to where it...
G749 Transmission Cooler Cover Gasket
I have been cleaning the sludge out of my transmission cooler today and just made a gasket for the cover. Here is a scanned copy if anyone needs it.
Does anyone know where to find a power piston assembly for the M54/800 series trucks AirPak?
This thread mentions it when rebuilding an AirPak.

I cannot seem to find one online but maybe I am not typing in the right word...
You are very welcome. I enjoyed the drive, but it did take me a few days to recover from the 45 hour long trip. That was quite an experience. I wasn't sure I even wanted to touch the stripper pole when we took it down. God only knows what's been on it.:3dAngus:
This is my first time being...
I guess the canvas is correct then. I will hopefully have a set of bows by the end of the week. They are a set of all metal bows off of an M35 but I think I can modify them to work. I know they are not correct, but I thought they would be more sturdy, plus no one will really be looking at those...
The front axle rubber brake hoses have been replaced and part numbers added to the list. After about an hour of searching through parts books, there was no hose exactly like what was originally on the truck, so we had to improvise. We ordered the hose (part number H4900) and a fitting (part...
Grab whatever you can if no one cares. I have heard that the metal pieces that cover the sides of the engine are hard to come by. Maybe you can buy the whole truck for a little of nothing.
I picked up the cargo canvas today. It was in better shape than what I was expecting. A little dusty from indoor storage, but will clean up fine. That is the end curtain folded up in the background.
I am not entirely sure this is for the G749 series, but it sure looks really close and the...
Yes he has. He should be about done with basic training by now. Maybe we will hear from him before he heads of to his MOS school.
Today I got the front brakes hooked back up, everything bled and a test drive done. The truck stopped great!!.....until the rubber hose that goes from the steel line...
