Hey gang,
I have a German swingfire heater in my shed leftover from my 404 Mog days. I would like to get it working for other MV uses. My spark plug is missing. The HMMWV Arctic Kit parts manual lists a NSN and a PN, but I couldn't find a civilian cross-over. I figure it is metric. Maybe a...
Guys, there is to be absolutely no collusion on SS.com. This means no bidder number sharing, no saying what lots you are bidding on or aren't bidding on, no organizing of group buys, etc...
Yes, I know it is an old thread, but I wanted to edit out the information and reinforce our collusion...
They don't look too bad. It looks like most of the expensive A2 stuff is still there. You'll have to buy some CTIS parts to get that going. That can run your parts prices up quick as it is a little hard to come by. A lot of the other stuff like heaters, doors, side-rack/seats, etc... are the...
Thanks to our most recent donors! Once again, please include your SS member name in the PayPal notes. Also, if you are using someone else PayPal account to make the donation, please note that as well. I like to give you credit for the donation, but if you would like to remain anonymous, let...
Wow! She is a beauty! I saw some pictures of that truck a while back and really wanted to buy it, but the finances never came through. Glad to see you have a door tall enough in your building to squeeze it through. What are your plans for it?
Thanks Brandon. I pulled the 4 bolts off of it and removed the end cap. I couldn't get the cylinder off because the front output shaft flange was in the way. Did you remove the front case to get to the sprag shifter shaft? Where did you buy the seals for it?
An organizations page is a good idea. I will get with Mike and see if we can make one that will allow the members to upload the club name/info.
Maurice, you are more than welcome to post your club's MV events on the SS calendar for now.
Forgot to mention this. Even though the valve has 8 bolts on it, only 4 hold it to the tranny. The other 4 hold the pieces of the valve together. I circled the mounting holes in yellow and the assembly holes in red. The pic is from the tranny side. You can see the threads in the bottom of...
OK guys. I have had a sprag issue with my XM818 since I picked it up. I had to pull the drive-shaft to bring it home from NC because the sprag was stuck in Reverse.
I have the truck running and driving great now and the only issue holding me up is the dang sprag. I started trouble-shooting...
I put a Phaser gear drive in my 1009's 6.2L. I was happy with the performance. The throttle seemed snappier. Hot and cold starting seemed a little better. Plus, there is no worry about the timing chain stretching and changing your timing. Make sure you loc-tite and torque the cam bolt...
Thanks Armada. A tan 105A2 would definitely look good behind your 818. I hear you on the lunette flipping.
My brother and I installed the bows and cover over the weekend. They worked great without the extensions! Now, it really looks sharp.
Some carpet scraps, a fan and a couple of...
RE: M88
Thanks David! Those are some great pics. It is amazing that they can re-fit them over and over and put them right back in service. It is a real testament to how solidly they were built the first time. Who was the original manufacturer? BMY or United Defense?
RE: thanks
Congrats on making it home safe Andy. Those were some beautiful trucks!
Chris BBBang, please PM me any photos of that 929 Tan dump truck if you have any. Thanks.
Tyler, I seriously feel for you after getting your truck tagged. That is BS and you shouldn't have to be the victim of such senseless destruction.
That said, guys please cut out the references to shooting, maiming, killing, beating, taser'ing, pepper spraying, etc.... the taggers. It doesn't...
