I would like to have a member check out a couple of items for me. One is at Ft. Jackson and the preview dates are April 30th and May1st. The other is at Chambersburg and the preview dates are May 2nd and 5th. If anyone can help, please shoot me an email or PM. Thanks!
Chris
Looking forward to meeting you Medlog. There should be a pretty good contingent of SS folks there.
I have the following for sale and can bring to Aberdeen if someone wants any of it:
2 12-bolt HMMWV rims with 36x12.50 and 2 8-bolt rims with 36x12.50 tires
1 1009 radio rack and decon kit...
Great job. It looked pretty good before you started so I can only imagine how fantastic it'll be when you get done. It sure is nice to have a BIG shop and helpful friends when tackling a project of that size!
Re: Goat
Sounds like you have your hands full, Mike! As the other Mike said, the Goat was sold to John before I did anything to it. John did a phenomenal job restoring it!
Re: howard's
Hi Mike! Good to see you here buddy. It's been a long time!
I haven't been to Howard's since 2005 when that dang Gama Goat almost killed me. I came home with a goat and about 10-15 ticks and chiggers. Buddy was stacking up aluminum goat tubs like pulp wood when I was there...
RE: Re: RE: engine swap questions
For higher road speed and more out of the box power options, you could go with a 939A2. With that series you get an 8.3CTA, which already has power parts for sale on the net including bigger injectors and fuel plates. TST makes some power items for them. You...
I ran into a guy a couple of weeks ago that is selling his M123A1C. It's in NY. I believe he is asking $8000 for it. Here's a video of it running and driving: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2233616100985668450&pr=goog-sl
His name is Ray and his contact number is 518-365-9789
It is a good idea and we have talked about doing this in the past, but as Chris said, it is not an easy thing to do. We really appreciate our donors and encourage them to put their donor status in their signature for now.
I was fortunate enough to own a 923A2 that had a fully functional CTIS. It didn't work when I first got it because the left front hub had been disassembled and some parts were missing. I replaced a couple of seals and a wheel valve and the system worked like a gem. They really could stand a...
Mike, you have no idea how chill I am. I'm ice cold baby, frigid man. In fact, I am smiling, relaxed, and whistling a little ditty as I type this message. I don't think I scolded you. We're all grown-ups here, but if that's the way you want to see it, that's fine. I know you like to be bold...
Mike, we get it, you're not happy. Why don't put down the sour grapes and pitch in? You say you want to help, but all you have done is dissuade any new participants for 2008 through your complaints. It may not have been done to your exacting standards, but it is done. Plead your case for...
Wow! I am shocked Bruce, but I totally understand. I felt the same way when I sold my 923A2. I actually just sold my 818. I am a rotating collector too. Just one at a time though :D
A SS member/friend stopped by for a visit the other day in his 1300L. He purchased it from another SS member. I snapped a few pics of it and my 818 for comparison. It was a nice Mog with fast axles and an overdrive box. It was previously a firetruck in Europe, hence the color. There was...
Well, I got my parts kit from Memphis and installed it last Sunday. I am happy to say that my sprag seems to be functioning normally again. No more drive-line wind-up or banging and lurching in the forward gears. Woop-woop!
Thanks Evilone!!! I will check the local auto parts place for the spark plug. I hope your supply guys have a good source for the connector. It looks pretty unique. I appreciate your efforts. I can't wait to get this thing fired up for the first time.
