Gotcha. Glad you got it sorted out. Here's a good link for general NV241/D/HD info: http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/specs/tranfer_case.htm
There is a lot of good Cummins, tranny and other info on that site as well. Please post some pics of your swap.
BigWheelBob has a 4WD shop just down the road from Lejeune. He used his wrecker to tow my M818 off-base and stored it there until I could come drive it home. He's a very nice guy and has deuces in the yard from spare parts. I don't think he is on here a whole lot so your best bet would be to...
I bet he about busted his gut on that! I have been wanting to try a set of FMTV wheels with the 395/85R20's. I picked up 2 with tires a while back. I need to find 5 more and see what they look like. The only problem I have found is that the lug holes are only chamfered on the outside because...
Did you call the www.fordcummins.com people? They have made hundred of Cummins to Ford swaps. I'm sure they have encountered all of your problems before and can steer you in the right direction.
I must have missed something. Where does the M880 come into the equation?
Why would want to use the NP208 over the NP205? The 208's are OK, but why test it with 400+ lb/ft from the Cummins. Stick with the robust cast iron case and steel gears. The only advantage of the 208 is the 2.6:1...
Sounds like there is a story in there Blake! Do tell!
We could meet up and then head down to Pungo and Sandbridge. There is public parking right across from the beach where we could stop and chill for a while.
Thanks to our most recent contributors! I really appreciate your donations, especially this close to Christmas, which is always a tight money time for folks.
Please remember to include your Full Name, if you want it listed, and your SS User-name so that I can give you proper recognition. If...
RE: Re: meetup
Yeah, that would be classic. 6 or 8 big green monsters rolling down Atlantic would be great! Hopefully, I'll have my tags after the first of the year. I'm going to make a point to come out and check out your trucks in my 818. We'll make plans then!
RE: your wish is my command
I'm glad to see Macon got his truck. Looks good. We need to have a little Tidewater get together sometime real soon GH. We'll get all of our trucks together for a drive-in at Hooters or something. I've got my 818 running strong and will be itching for a road-trip...
I love the part when they are testing the fording equipment. They go in water so deep you can only see their heads and the intake/exhaust. I wish someone would post a higher quality version of that video.
