The conversations forum is for military vehicle related topics. I am going to stick this in alternative fuels since it could be a good veggie oil car.
That being said, I am in the process of refurbishing our 1983 300SD. I need some seat parts, floor mats, wood trim, door trim, an electric...
Oh man, I wish I had the cash Brandon!! That thing is too cool. Will you deliver it? ;) Maybe if you drop it off while me and the Mrs. are out of town, she'll let me keep it, because we won't be able to move it.
My 923A2 weighed about the same as your 813A1 and the manual specifies 70 psi front and rear for the 14R20's. Of course the CTIS system only took them to 60 psi, so for long distance highway driving I was supposed to disable the CTIS and manually inflate the tires to 70 psi. I ran to Aberdeen...
Sounds good. The connector on the oil pressure sensor was different on the 500 so I used an adapter and mounted the 6.2L sensor. I should have used a real oil pressure gauge instead because that would have given me some warning that the oil pump was taking a dump before the rear main bearing...

The 404 Unimog has some excellent storage lockers. There are 2 small ones behind the rear wheels for tire chains. There is a large one in front of the right rear wheel for chocks, tools, fluids, etc... There is a battery box in front of the left rear wheel that will hold 2 batteries or lots...

Awesome pics Andy!!
Cdub, you'll like these guys because they bought out a company and scored a huge load of 939 parts :) Those 939 bridge trucks look BEEFY!!
My local NAPA heavy truck parts counter has a big display of lock-washers, spindle nuts and spindle sockets on the wall. That's where I got some parts and tools for mt M923A2 axle project.
We have a member here, Chris aka Elohim1, that hauled a lifted Cherokee on Boggers in the bed and pulled a M715 to a rally behind it. He would be a good guy to talk to about your plans.
