Won an 802A and arranging shipping. I'll have a lot of questions once I start troubleshooting this, but for now...
What is happening here?
So it sold as a non-runner. Not sure how hard they tried, dude looks like he's had a rough day in the video.
14.4 hours, looks good inside and seems...
I waited to hear from anyone with a ECV truck that had taken the shocks off and tried it without. Since nobody replied, I slid out after church and dropped all four. Easy job - no jacking - took about and hour.
Once I cleaned up the tools I drove it about 10 miles to some trails to see how...
I drove back over to the other base to get some better pictures.
None had front winches and none had spare tire carriers. Several had rear winches.
I have no idea what this gauge is:
Some of the turrets have one of these glued to the inside:
Being both a stickler and mildly OCD, I'm going to correct you that you "may" not drive it until the GP sends you the SF97, and even then you may not drive it until it's properly titled and registered.
You can drive it any time you like. ;)
In any event, sorry to hear about the find in the...
I read both threads. Superfluous as in superfluous to my application, not necessarily yours. ;)
I'm at work so I cannot go look at the suspension, and I don't have enough tech knowledge to know off the top of my head, but can I just unbolt the bottom of the shocks and drive around like that a...
Has anyone run the Cepek shocks with stock springs in an ECV truck? Or have an educated opinion on that setup?
I've read through both threads, but for what I want there's a lot of superfluous information. I don't want a lift and the truck seems pretty level already.
Last week I was on a...
Guy was selling this switchbox I want to repurpose for the 12v bus, and it came with an IR light. I had no idea where that bracket mounted the light to so I didn't really even want it- even tried to get him to keep it to bring down on the price. $40 shipped for both.
Then yesterday I was on...
I had to drive over to the "other" base to fill the tank in the M1165 and stopped at the compound where they up-armor the HMMWs. There were two very nice M1151s in there with full turrets and all the armor. No pictures of that area as I would want to ask permission first and nobody came out to...
Idle seems low to me.
Hard to see the voltmeter, but to me it looked more like the needle *snapped* vs bounced. Seems electrical (for that issue) to me.
Installed some tie-down provision in the bed of the truck. With the water-dam keeping water out, it also blocks the two tie-down rings. If I take the doors off I have no way to tie them down in the bed, and no way to tie anything else down either.
I've had this aircraft seat-track since the...
:ROFLMAO: That's what I'm talking about, there is nothing labeled Neg - only input, output, and 0V.
I see a bolt on the left side of the shunt that is already pretty crowded, I think that's probably the best ground.
Made my own mondo ring terminal- notched this washer and soldered the 10ga...
I'm just starting to work on mine- what a cluster fudge.
Step 2 says, "connect the minus cables to the minus terminal of the Orion". What minus cable, what minus terminal?! I'm guessing (which I hate to do with wiring) they want me to connect a wire from the center 0V lug of the Orion to...
My experience using BTM was that I needed a bit more than "slightly" on the brake pedal. Only firm pressure on the brakes and overriding that with throttle got me moving again.
So the long and short of it is, practice in a more controlled situation so you know how it feels. Learning when...
