We need more Steel Soldiers rallies in 2007!

The way I see it gang is that we can break the Rallies out into 3 groups. One is a meet and greet type that may be hosted at a park or campground. That would be pretty informal and easy to set up. It would be good for families, for guys that don't want to off-road their trucks, etc... The...

We need more Steel Soldiers rallies in 2007!

Looks like a very nice park JD. Do they have some camping spots large enough to hold a group of 15-20 vehicles, tents, etc...? Are there any trails nearby for those that might want to get a little dirty?

Not happy with the new purchase so far.

RE: Re: RE: Not happy with the new purchase so far. There's a guy in NC I think that redoes CUCV's. I can't think of his name off hand, but he advertises in MVM regularly. I'll check my collection when I get home and get the contact info for you Mike.

    Hmmmm, 5-ton RV?

I found this nice looking 923 while surfing tonight. What kind of shelter is that in the back. Looks like room for the whole family :D Course it does make an already tall truck even taller so it would be tough with any trees or bridges around. Maybe something a little smaller

    finally

That's great that your wife took turns driving the deuce! Mine will ride with me on special occasions (like getting the Christmas Tree in the Mog), but she kinda slumps down in the seat so the townfolk can't see her :D

    Guam

PS, I guess what I had to say really applied more to carguy455 being that Iowa is a bit far from any sea port :D

    Guam

Holy heck that is some serious coin for shipping. If the truck you bought was small enough to fit in a sea container you might be able to get a better rate. I know that's what some of the Mog importers do when bringing stuff in from Europe. They get a flat rate per container. There is also...

    Five ton deck and ladder.

Hey Brandon, I read an article in Army Motors by David Doyle on the 800-series and he said that the USMC 800's had the flat bar grills and the rest had the tubular grills.

New problem: I need a pig!

Hmmm, pig, that's a new one on me. We had this discussion about slang terms for differentials a while back. I think 3rd member, chunk, pumpkin, and diff were listed, but not pig. Thanks mo-mudder. I don't think you will have too hard a time locating a diff or even a complete used rear. Can...

Nice looking truck Ray!! The 14.5R20's look very beefy!
  16. steelsoldiers

Just how big is an M35A3?

Those 900's are some big impressive trucks. Some folks don't like the looks of them, but I do.

    New Heat-Ray Mounted on HMMWV!

Here's the latest non-lethal weapon being developed for the US Military. It is mounted on a HMMWV in this article. Now, if they would just turn it up a bit to actually make the terrorists catch fire! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16794717/wid/11915829?GT1=8921
