Could you disconnect the governor from the linkage? I had a MEP-016C genset with a stick gov. I thought it was carb problems, but after I disconnect the gov linkage, I got full revs. I cleaned the gov up and lubed the linkages and all was good.
Haven't looked at it yet Kenny. Been trying to move my office back to its original pre-flood location so have been torn up busy of late. I'll try to get a peek later this week.
The extra jib on top of the boom is a Memphis Equipment add-on as well according to the owner. Anyone know what the total production of M108's was? Also were any of them officially converted to multifuel in depot before release from service? What about the M60?
I heard that about the dipstick heaters specifically. My Dodge came equipped with a block mounted coolant heater. I rarely used it unless it is going to be very nippy. Living in SE VA that doesn't happen too much. If I lived in Iowa or North Dakota or some other icy place, I'd splurge...
Here's my old write-up on SS: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/Project%205.htm
I think I got all the details right. I had to learn all that crap the hard way back before Chris' CUCV Homepage or Andy's CUCV Page or SS. Ahhh, flashback
Congrats on the new 10-ton AMG. They are an awesome vehicle. I have a hard enough time talking the Mrs. into another deuce because of their size. I could just see me bringing a 10-ton home! :D I am looking forward to seeing how 2 become 1 with your project. Keep us posted.
Is that boom on top an add-on? I've never seen a 108 with one folded back like that. The axle is chained up underneath. That's not a good sign.
Is yours a gasser or multi-convert Riz?
RE: Re: RE: not a good thing, m211 trans needed
Man that stinks Dave. Sorry to hear it's roasted. I too have heard good things about the Memphis rebuilding process. Good luck buddy!
