Lee, the door mechs are easy to fix. I had the same problem with my pass side. It opened fine from inside but would not from the outside handle. After pulling it from the door, it was appairent what was wrong with it. Over years of use the paw that the outside handle uses to push the latch...
Down to a week now! Weatherman says it going to be a beautiful day here next sat. Sunny and high 70's low 80's for temps. We still have plenty of room for more vehicles.
Re: RE: Prelim feeler - Deuce Stencils
Yep, that's my site. My server crashed and they had to stick me up on a different one so it changed the web address.
I perfer to do decals only as stencils waste so much material to make. But I can do stencils if you want. The cost will go up...
Sorry I missed you. We were only there between noon and 3 on sat. as we wanted to be sure we made it back home at a decent time for the kids. I met BobH and BigBee there as they recognized me as the one with the twins in a stroller. :D
It was good meet and talk with several of you guys. I wished I could have driven over in my vehicles, but I don't think my 8 month old twins would have been up for the 2 hour ride over in the deuce. Here are some of the pics I took while there.http://www.davidallenracing.com/MVPA-Show.htm
Well it looks like I will not be able to take either of my trucks over to Claire for the show. The wife and our 8 month old twins are going to go to the show also and can't ride in the duece that long. So I'll be driving the family truckster over instead. It would be nice to meet up with a...
I bought a nice new one from TJN Murray while at the Dayton convention for $130. They had several others there also. I asume they would still have some.

From my experiance using Gillespie 24087 on both my vehicles, I can say that the primer used underneath the paint does make a difference. I used Gillespies dark red oxcide primer and it is quite a bit darker than standard automotive red primer. I have a few small items under the hood of my...
I also painted mine with Gillespie #24087, which would be the correct color for Army vehicles up to about 74' when they went to the 4 color camo. Also Army vehicles in the time period also carried all the markings in white. Subdued markings didn't show up until the camo.
I also painted my 67'...
Show is coming up soon, just wanted to remind everyone of it. Vehicle display is FREE so come on up. Registration sheets for the vehicles is available here http://www.davidallenracing.com/vehiclereg.htm
Here is a pic with some 1st generation mirrors on one. I can't imagine you could see much in them. Try backing that 109 up with those tiny mirrors on it.
That's my father at Ft. Bragg fall of 62' before they shipped to the Florida Keys to monitor Cuba during the missile crissis.
Actually Lee, it only took me 6 WEEKS to do the M35 resto. My M715 took 4 months to do, but that was a complete frame off resto where every nut and bolt came out and every piece of metal was stripped to bare.
Jodka, come on down next time. I always like to talk green iron with anyone.
I bought mine for $ 1000 last year. It was in great mechanical shape but the body had been beat. Looked like this;
$ 1500 in new parts and accesories and 6 weeks of elbow grease got me to this:
I would like to believe that if I sold it I could get $ 4000 - $ 5000 out of it. :?
I just wanted to get it out there early so that people could try and plan around it if they needed to. The DNR officer at the park as agread to let us slip in without checking us for everything. As long as we have ORV stickers, park stickers, and dune flags along with a few other items they'll...
