If I recall correctly, mine were pretty damn tight and I think I used some lube on the screws.
In all honesty you might wanna try just forcing them.
The wiring is already there, just need to swap out the connectors.
There is a mounting plate but it needed to move forward slightly to fit the IR light. So I had to drill some new holes in the hood. Honestly it wasnt super elegant, and there was probably a better way. But my hood is pretty...
Could always measure the ID of the threads with dial calipers.
I also would be hesitant to use a tap. If they are distorted lock threads you will damage that.
My formerly armored m1151 uses standard hinge bolts for all 4 positions. I got the bolts from MAC Motors.
I believe those threaded holes are not used when the armored doors are installed, so there might be some corrosion getting in your way. Maybe try cleaning them out with some pentrating oil...
Trucklight and JW Speaker have different designs than this. I avoided both based on reviews and research.
Just curious, where was your phone made?
Edit: my current headlights are mil issued trucklights, plus I have a spare. All three have intermittant issues with flickering on high beam
It should be pretty simple. Output of the TDM is 2 wires, one should be ground and the other should toggle between 0 and 24v to control the cadillac valve.
If you interupt the latter wire it should make the fan turn on. Or inject 24v to make it turn off.
Switches, sensors, valves, etc, can all fail in either the open or closed position. There is no guarantee that a failure will result in the fan being on. The system was designed such that the most LIKELY failure results in the fan being on.
Edit: think of it like air brakes on a semi truck. If...
My front x doors seal pretty well on my m1151, but my rear doors do not, especially in the top rear corner. I fought with adjusting them for days, and got it slightly better, but they still arent tight in that corner. It sounds like I'm not alone.
Wonder how this will affect HMMWV production/parts availability?
