What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

Thanks for the detailed reply, I wont mess with it then! And yes I'd like to maintain a somewhat low internet profile, seeing as the FCC database publically publishes names and addresses for all licensees.

What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

Thanks. I was considering trying to chop the length slightly to tune it up. I do have a sightmaster SWR analyzer, I will check it as is first. PM sent with call sign.

What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

Does anyone know the frequency range of the AB 1284/vsq-1? Some of the frequencies I'm using are 460 and higher.

What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

If you do, let me know how much you want for it. I'm not sure if it will work for my application or not. The spec sheet says 10W continuous or 200W peak at 2% duty cycle. I'm thinking it will handle 40W transmissions fine but probably worth calling the manufacturer for some clarification.

What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

Hmm, okay well thanks for the honest answer. I currently have a 1/4 wave whip antenna which works fine, but I was hoping for something that looks more correct on the vehicle. It doesn't necessarily need to be the exact correct antenna, I'm just going for aesthetics. I'm thinking about rigging up...

What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

The radio is a Motorola XPR4550. It will do both HAM frequencies as well as commercial frequencies. I am licensed for both.

What antenna do I need for 450MHz?

I'm looking to install a functional antenna on my M998. I will be connecting it to a commercial radio at around 445-450MHz. I'm not too concerned with the amount of gain, but I want something in the proper frequency range. I'm looking for a military-style antenna with spring base so that it...
