I would bet that 3/4 civvy springs are the same rate as 1009 springs. The 1009 uses beefier springs than the regular k5s. Just bolt the overloads on if you got the frame brackets from the donor truck. Travis

I tapped into the blue wire just outside of the card holder. The button is gounded through the steel dash plate under the column. I still use the card, but have the button as back up. The best of both worlds. Travis

I have this same leak on my excursion. The seals in the front axle inside the carrier are needing to be replaced. The fluid leaves the carrier, goes down the axle tube, and gets blown all over your tire and wheel well. Check it out to see if the oil smells like gear oil. Travis

I have been tinkering with one of my 1008s and It fires right up, runs a sec or two then dies. It then cranks over for 20 seconds or so to fire back up. I figure there must be a leak in the lines and the fuel is draining back. The fuel filter is completely full before I try to fire it up...

I just installed one of Antennaclimber's new golw plug cards. It is awesome. It was the first time that I didn't have to use my manual switch to start the truck. The red LED is nice to see when the card turns itself on and off. Just props for a great product and a great member. Travis

I jave a set of firestone airbags to go on my m1008. I have used them on other 3/4 and 1 ton trucks with great success. You can inflate them after you load the truck. I think they are the ride rite 2040 kit.
