    M1028 Differential Lubrication

I have never used the trans-x. GM sells a little black bottle of posi fluid that works great. If you can find the dana spicer green fluid, it is the best. We used DS to help trac locks that were getting loose. It seemed to coat the clutches and help them grip noticeably better.

    m1028 locker

"Everything I have read on the CJ10 says the 70 has a GovLock. Two of the four I have had were open differential 70s. The last two have some sort of locker in them but I have not been inside. One spins like a limited slip, the other acts open like a GovLock but locks up with wheel spin. I...

    door panel

I am too cheap to buy the vinyl paint. I use flat black house brand stuff. I have never had a problem with peeling or flaking on the dash or door panels. I used gloss on a dash once. big mistake once the sun came out! Travis

    m1028 locker

I bought the dana 70 rear axle out of a dually 1028 a few years ago and it had a full case detroit locker in it. Someone might have gotten tired of chirping tires and swapped in an open diff.

    Big tires on little axles

Swapping axles from a K20 is an easy bet. I did the swap into my 73 K5. I ran 38 swampers with the 4.10 gears. i did pop a few locking hubs, but they were the older external setup. I just kept spares in the glovebox. I know it is not as strong as a D60, but the whole truck was 500 bucks...

    superlift questions

The K420 kit is the one you want. I have the 6 inch kit in the bed of my 1008 and will throw it on saturday. I have used their 4,8,and 10 inch kits before and love them. Depending on how firm your rear spring is, you might want to add a small add-a-leaf with the block. My last blazer had the...
