I will be in you neck of the woods this weekend to see my wifes grandfather in Rifle. It has been nearly 20 years since I was there last. I wish we were bring the M1009 but we will be in the Duramax instead.
I am lifting my 1028 and would like to know if it is a good idea to drop the transfer case a inch or leave it as is. Yes I did a search and the answers were all over the place. It also looks like when I drop the tcase it will put my exhaust pipe on the vacuum modulator.

I had to repair the inner fender on the passenger side of my 1028 because the previous owner neglected loose bolts that supported the batteries. It was not too bad of a job to get the inner fenders and fenders off but I can imagine with new fenders you might have some time getting the body lines...
I dont understand how the springs could cause the problem I have had them sag some but never worn. If they sag re arch or replace them and get better bushings.
OffroadDesign.com Lots of stuff for Chevy trucks and others also. Fush is the Front upper shackle hanger, This is where your front leaf spring bolts to frame at the rear of the spring. It is a stronger part than the stock one with a larger size bushing.
I just went thru my 1028 front end and the springs look the same as my 1009 and my dads 84 k30 1 ton dually, Im not saying there the same because I dont know the spring rates but they looked to be the same on all 3 trucks.
