This might help. These are in inches.
OshKosh .680"
Haltec .685"
Original .685"
These are measurements of the outside diameter of the 3 different stems.
I don't have a wheel off to measure the actual opening.
I've only done two wheels as they were leaking. I really like the Haltec w/ adapter.
I have used these.
1) Haltec Big Bore Part# WH-330-J90($22.33 Walmart online)
Haltec Big Bore adapter Part# 8807N ($2.00 think from Haltec website) The adapter brings the stem out just past the wheel opening,
and reduces it to the standard small bore size
2) OshKosh Mil# 12301120 Combat...
I agree, although I the clamp is tight.
I'm within an inch of the full mark.
Confident in the fact that it has 19 qts in the crankcase I'm going to let it be.
Moving on to a new steering wheel. The old one looks to be pretty content on staying put.
Anyone know what these letters on the inside of...
Good question re: the oil cooler. I'll have to look.
Would the oil cooler and lines drain during a routine oil and filter change.
I recall reading somewhere that initial fill on a new engine would be 21 qts.
The 19 qts would be capacity after that. Perhaps the 2 qts difference would be the...
Thanks Frank:
Not many MVs in my area.
There is no part# on my gauge rod cap, liquid. It definitely has 19 qts in it.
I let it drain for 20 minutes after an hour long drive.
It currently reads 1" above the full mark. Probably let it be.
Thanks to all for the responses and advice.
Thanks Sir.
I truly did not mean to ask that "You" search for the part # for me, but If you were me
would that be the direction that you would go to see if it were the correct oil dipstick.
Thank you for your help.
I'm going to see if there are any part#'s on my dipstick and I'll report back.

Changed the oil/filter for the 1st time on my truck.
Napa 1971 Filter and started with 19 qts Rotella 15w40.
Started and ran for 10 minutes. The oil appears overfilled. 1" above full mark on the dipstick.
I used 5 fresh 1 gallon containers with 1 qt left.
I am wondering if there is a...
Thanks for the tip on the ammo. You are quite observant.
However those boxes are filled with spent casings waiting for reloading.
I keep all my ammo locked in my ...........nevermind (OPSEC).
I rebuilt mine at the same time I did the steering.
It didn't look that bad inside but the exterior was oxidized badly.
A quick sanding and a coat of paint was needed.
My actuator seemed fine as per the Maradyne TM. The steering was very weak.
I took the air cylinder apart and the components were in bad shape. The bore was Ok except for some very
mild pitting in the center where the piston would rest.
I used a micrometer to measure the rubber seal for the 5"...
