Can you help me identify the part or part # or describe what it does.
Where the missing hose might supply oil from?
I've been driving this a bit as it is and don't want the damage an already expensive truck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have tried to identify using the...
New to me Bobbed A3.
What seems to be part of the crankcase ventilation system appears
to be missing a hose that connects to the the top of the housing.
It looks as though it should have some type of spin on filter on the base.
Tried parts search using TMs but nothing.
Any thougts and thanks in...
My A3 w the Allison 4 spd has similar characteristics when downshifting. Especially 2nd to 1st.
It's less noticeable when trans temps increase or when pulling a load.
Lots of info/discussion here on 1540 vs ATF.
Mine is currently using 1540.
Being from NJ I can only hope that my bright Red State doesn't catch wind of this.
We're getting pounded on the 2nd Amendment and I'm pretty sure
most here think my big green truck is scary.
I rebuilt my Pure air dryer for for under under $150.
It's easy to do. I, also, sanded the housing and painted it.
Best part is it it goes right back in.
When you consider a new dryer there will be additional
work required for any changes in mounting or plumbing.
I removed the LED light bar that came with the truck. It can be easily reinstalled
in a few minutes if I need it for camping, etc. It is 24V and very bright.
I just did not like the way it looked.
Bought some 3M sound deadening pads to experiment with on the interior. (Napa)
Easy to cut and...
I bought these great lights from jcappeljr. I needed reverse lights and these look great and they are overbuilt.
Was able to use existing holes in the crossmember to mount. I was going to power these from a toggle that I'd wire from the dash.
A bit of research and looking around the truck and...
1st off I'm terrible with trying to sift thru TMs for info.
My A3 has a large yellow plastic brake fluid reservoir on the passenger side of the engine compartment on the firewall.
Best I can tell, judging by the brake pedal linkage, is the master cylinder sits inder the drivers seat and is fed...
Weather prohibited my Father from coming this morning to help with bleeding the brakes. I put together a pressure bleeder following
the many helpful posts from everyone. When I pressurized the large plastic brake reservoir (dual system A3) the modified reservoir cap leaked
fluid. This was a new...
I'll probably get my Father to help with bleding the brakes. He's mid 80's and really loves the truck.
Its a bobbed M35A3. It has a large brake reservoir on the P/S firewall.
It has dual air packs. Do these get bled in the same way, Dad pushes on pedal, I open and close the bleeder, repeat?
What...
Noticed a small leak on the drivers side metal brake line that runs from the junction to the top of the rear wheel
where the bleeder is. I am going to remove the line in hopes of finding something local (Napa?).
When the line is replaced do I bleed the brake system as I have always done in the...
A detailed oil analysis might prove very useful.
Any metals found in the sample are easily identified and can help to
determine their origination and with a diagnosis.
Blackstone Labs charges $28.00.
They'll send you the kit for free.
