If it were me.... I'd avoid authorized Allison re-build shops like the plague.
From my experiences with Libelula, I have found that the "offical" Allison shops are prown to up-sell, over-charge, and give you false info...Just to run up your bill!
There are A LOT of people that re-build...

Tell him Jack sent you...then talk fast before he hangs up on you! No, in all honesty...there would have NO WAY of me getting Libelula running again without Ted.
How about drilling an 1/8" hole on both parts of the lower mirror brace so that an aluminum pop-rivet could be inserted and compressed. I figure that the rivet would be strong enough to keep the mirror in place...but would easily sheer if the mirror took a hit.
The same could be done with an...

First-off there is nothing computerised about CTIS. It is basically an electrically controlled valve "system" that has preset values (highway, cross-country, sand, emergency, & run-flat). The system has the ability to output a value for the transmission to "read" so that...
It will astound you at how much Marmon-Harrington & Fabco components cost! IF you can find them used...They will also cost an arm & leg.
Your best bet it to watch auctions like Nation Wide for utility company 4x4's. At least the DMV (here in cali that is) insists that the auctioned trucks are...
I know NOTHING about m813a1's! however, when mounting hardware between springs...The springs should not be compressed more than just slightly! Thus equallizing the compression between the top and bottom spring AND provideing free movement of the secured components.
My guess is...Loosen the...

Hey Bob, did you find anything out about the axles?
:ditto:
CTIS is a 100% PITA. I paid something like $200. for the inline air filters ( in the wheel assembly). Each one is about the size of my thumbnail.
To quote my self:
POS as in "piece of sh*t" alternator that was a prototype, that had a modern replacement that i could buy for a meer $2800.00 if...

When i saw the pictures of the cap in the earlier pictures in this post, I said to myself..." boy that cab looks famillier."
I'm glad it went to a good cause. Keep up the top-notch work!
Could one of you M925 owners post some photos of your Allison trani, divorce shaft, & Rockwell transfer-case.
I'm an RCH away from giving up hope on my MD3070 in Libelula. I intend to make an expedition rig out of the truck, then use it in the Baja "outback". My feeling at this point is that...
