Everything works very well, but my wvo/wmo mix is in a separate engine coolant heated tank to keep the mix hot as i drive. Although i have run out of fuel and started cold/ran on the mix before. in the fuel tank would take a little expermintation with our climate. If your ever up this way i'll...
I've been mixing the wvo and wmo for some time now and works well. about 40% wvo and 60% wmo. The wvo gives the mix a more plesant smell and less smoke. The wmo gives the mix more power. ( when people ask what your burning, you say wmo and they think your killing man kind. tell them wvo and they...
sounds like a good plan. My current tank full has a little to much gear lube blend as it has a noticble difference going thru the lines/pump until it gets real warm. Need to throw a little deisel at it today.
I guess i rambled off: I was going to say, you should be fine with nothing in the bed. and don't tow a trailer with something on it that might look like a commodity. ( hay/ old tractor/lawn mower/vehicles/ dirt/gravel/load of building materials/etc.etc.etc.
Keep your book in the truck with...
I will be passing that on, I personally know of 4 people up here who have received tickets with their personal pick-ups that got it for no DOT#.
I think to many DOT officers up here with laws written to confuse anyone. 2 years ago with our work truck were pulled over when on I-75. They had...
My old well rig had a 6v-72 Detroit, that didn't have enough low gears. Several times i have stalled it loose sand and on restart it would run backwards. Ran good but with a slightly different roar to the motor. Never hurt it. To this day it's still drilling in Africa somewhere. One of the old...
Most diesels should be idled up slightly ( a deuce is around 1100 rpm ) and let them run all month if you want to. The increase in idle helps bring engine temp up a little and prevents piston wash. Thats what i've been taught, but the deuce is also the smallest diesel that i operate...
The DOT # is free "NOW" I'm sure once they got everyone signed up and registered then the yearly fees will start/ then they will start to go up little by little. Isn't that how all these things start innocently and quietly!!!
You could save up 200 gallons of wmo. That will be the equivalent of $800 worth of fuel. Then you could explain how you are going to break even. I've been breaking even for a while nowrofl
I'm a day or two from posting a few pics of my completed headache rack with built in clearance lights for the cab. Went with 12v LEDs from wally world. I tried one out attached to 24v from the truck. Left it on for 24 hours and it was still working, so i'm giving it a shot. ( local parts store...
I'm not sure about a historic vechicle clasification. I didn't see mention of anything yea or na in my Michigan truck drivers guide book. I haven't had a problem yet either, but getting ready to cross the DOT checkpoint soon with my jeep in the bed. So i know that i will get looked over pretty good.
The veggie oil guys say that the oil temp should be close to 180 degrees for good combustion. The hotter the oil gets the thinner it becomes. Thinner = more like viscosity of diesel fuel. Also helps with carbon build up. I am running a engine coolant heat exchanger in the aux tank and fuel lines...
Good advise^
I filter down to 1/2 micron and dewater before it hits the aux tank. Then filtered/water seperator in system (2 micron) My fuel shoud be cleaner and drier than you get from the pump.
