Replacing the bolts shouldn't matter, except to hold up the tail light brackets. The four large bolts on the sides only hold the bumperette to the frame, the two on the crossmember also hold only the bumperette. So with the bumperette removed, the only reason to put back any bolts, would be 2...
Well, it appears I may have a problem...
An OCD related one, not one with the truck, per se.
I modeled the rear of the frame, so that I could play with what I wanted to do more easily...
These may not be zoomed in enough to tell, but the rear shackles probably aren't terribly strong.
The rear...
Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the good inputs.
I hadn't, but should have, realized that the rear shackles are "light duty". They aren't mounted to the frame, as a recovery shackle should be, but rather to the rear crossbar.
I think while I'm messing around back there I'll try to add shackle mounts...
Hey All,
I was unable to find any discussion of this with searches, which actually makes me question my search abilities a bit...
Anyway, the bumperettes are in the way of a winch/hitch project on the backside of my deuce, so I removed them. I'd rather not have to figure out how to put them...
I'm not quite clear on the purpose of this.
Is it a purge port for re-priming the system?
And were exactly in the circuit does it belong? At the exit of the final filter?
Thanks

Yep. 1"-14 is the plan. They will accept WIX 33522 and 33339, and any other compatible.
I copied the filter interface geometry from WIX 24770

So on the fuel side. I did some test checks of the dual filter setup. I 3D printed part of it earlier this week and I wanted to see how it fit in the space.
The length (longitudinal) is about right, but I'm going to make it a little wider.
Then I started on the fuel lines. I'm using...
Had a fairly productive day.
I hoped to have the brakes back together and bled, but (embarassingly) I snafu'd a brakeline and needed to buy some more copper-nickel brake line. Should have that tomorrow.
But I got the MC and the airpacks installed, as well as the reservoir, and it's all...
Hey All,
I'm hopeful that I can attend as well. Not sure if I can get a "hall pass" for the weekend.
I've skimmed all 8 pages a couple times, but it's a little unclear if I need to sign up ahead of time, or show up. And if I need to sign up or get tickets, how should I?
Thanks

I used(am using) Teflon hose from Eaton/Aeroquip. Not very cheap, but very effective and long lasting. Fittings are reusable. See attached Bill of Materials. I think the links even still work (all parts available from Summit Racing)
This list uses -8 size (same as stock) for the feed line...
Hey All,
I've attached drawings of the piston and the cylinder (the yellow anodized parts).
They are under dimensioned because I only put in the dims that I measured on the drawings. Values are also approximate. - not good enough to remake, just to give idea.
The critical missing dimension...
So I got thru a "rev 2" of the filter assembly tonight, based largely on Rustystud's comments that gauges facing the fender opening are desired. I like this version a little better anyway.
I've always been a little leery of how fragile the gauges can be and how far out there they hang, so these...
So do you need just the circled arm added as a bracket to the single circuit stuff, or the whole pedal hinge assembly?
I'll study the TM parts lists tonight to get a better idea of the differences between the single and dual circuit MC brackets.

Can you elaborate? I'm not very familiar with the single circuit setup. What bracket is needed?
(also interested because soon I'll have the original MC and airpacks to sell...)
I'm moderately proficient at g-code, but I primarily use the CAM module associated with my CAD tool to generate the code, it's parametric so the code updates as I change the model. I very rarely code directly.
I can certainly do spot faces and straight threads, the problem is there is only one...
So I got the airpacks rebuilt, and just finished the remote reservoir last night. Here are some pics (before, during, and after) of the reservoir:
Brake system should be ready to go in once it stops raining...
I also found a nice deal and picked these up yesterday:
One fer the front and one...
This would figure, but at least what I have is in good shape. Since I can't replace all the seals...
So, the back story:
1988 USAF deuce. Dual circuit brakes. Two long airpacks. One has broken mounting stem.
Decided to source 2 short ones (used) and rebuild. Then replace both long ones with...
