Well, it's not abundantly clear in the TM, but if front and rear were on different air packs then one might begin to argue that it's ok to have different air packs. If they do provide different amounts of assist, the effect would be a shift in front/rear bias. These aren't race cars, so a...
I had been digging thru that TM before I posted and found nothing that related to my question. Seems like it might b easier just to trace the brake lines under the vehicle.

Hey All,
I have a dual circuit brake deuce. '88 USAF model.
On of my airpacks has the rear mounting stud broken off (both are long style).
My plan has been to go thru the brake system rebuilding or replacing as I go, this just accelerates part of the plan.
So, I'd prefer to have short...
Back to the cylinder rebuild kits, I'm happy to report that Napa got them in yesterday and they are not Chinese. They were hecho'ed in Mexico according to the box.
However, even better news was that upon opening, the seals themselves have "Made in USA" molded into them.
For reference, I paid...
Thanks!
I've been looking at Aeroquip fittings and hose (as it's cheaper than Parker, of acceptable and known quality, and much easier to buy online). I can get hose to inverted flare, however in -8 hose it's only available in 3/4" inverted - which is the corresponding dash size.
In -6, it is...
Hey Rustystud et al,
I'm working to duplicate some of this filter setup, and had a few questions...
1) What dash size hose did you use? Based on a comment on a fitting, looks like possibly it's -8, but I wanted to double check.
Edit: My Bad - I found it in post #10 (-8 hose)
2) You don't...
Do you happen to have the model?
I've been digging a bit, and clearly this is the easiest answer to my issue..
Several options on amazon. There is a you-weld version, but that appears to be different than what you mention.
There are many with 34" spacing.
Thanks

Hey all,
I must be normal.
'Cause as the FNG, I sure have a lot of questions...
And here, I'm not even sure if this question belongs here or in the deuce section...
Anyway, on to it.
I have a Deuce.
I have a flatbed tandem 5 ton utility trailer (with questionably functional surge brakes -...
My fuel return hose looks just like this. Further inspection shows the lower section to be "sweating" thru all the cracks even while idling. The fitting appears to be OK.
The larger concern that I have is that for it to leak so much, the pressure of the return line must be substantial, and I...
An interesting update...
I went into my local NAPA and asked about these, and after some mumbling, they were able to procure me a full set of rebuild kits, via Ohio, Tennessee, and DC.
I apparently made the wrong assumption that ordering from NAPA Online would do the same thing. Clearly not...
Hey All,
In an attempt to get some parts in stock to be able to rebuild my brake cylinders, I ordered the NAPA UP45 cylinder rebuild kits - from their online store.
Here's the response...

Thank you for shopping on NAPAonline.com. We apologize for the delay in contacting you...
Hey All,
I spent the bulk of yesterday searching for this and didn't find an answer, specific to USAF A2s.
Can you do a remote brake fluid reservoir on a dual ciruit USAF late model M35A2?
Ideally, I would think you could do it just like the single circuit brakes. Tap into vent line port...
Hey All,
First of all, thanks for the answers to the few "pre deuce" questions I've posted.
And now, I'm happy to announce that I am no longer "pre deuce"
I found an '88 air force model in pretty nice shape, about 3 hours (in a car) from me. Picked it up today, and drove it 4+ hours home...
You had to know the upside-down jokes would continue each time this thread is resurrected... (sorry)
My sincere hope is to do all my towing with the rubber down.
And thanks for the tip on the Tractor Supply lights. Perfect.
Off to find a local tow bar...

Hey 98G,
Mind if I ask more details about your towbar setup. Did you buy it or make it?
I'm considering a similar, but "reversed" situation for my self. I'm looking at deuces, some are several hour drive away. I'm assessing the viability of putting a pintle tow bar on my truck (little...
These are exactly the compromises I was working thru. I started thinking F250 was the key. But I wanted the 7.3 and a manual tranny 4x4 crew cab longbed. Turns out, those are pretty rare, and much sought after... Then I moved to the 350s, and pretty soon I was looking for the bigger...
Thanks all for the replies.
I downsized the tractor (i'm buying it tomorrow). I was split between an M6060 (~5000 lbs) and an MX5200 (~3700 lbs). My dealer actually talked me down to the MX5200, so it's a fair bit lighter and a little smaller. Unless someone talks me back into the M6060...
Thanks all. Dirt ramps may be viable.
Am I nuts for considering this over a 3/4 ton pickup? A deuce is certainly cheaper than truck and trailer. I'm thinking the deuce can help cut roads and haul trees too.
By farm, it's really 90 acres of trees that I hope to turn into a house with small...
