LOL, that's the name I chose for mine. It just happens to be the nickname of our high school football team....the Green Demons.
Haven't painted it on yet. I want to, but with the problems I'm having getting this thing licensed, I am hesitant to put anything on that I might have to change.

Thanks, GE. Are you saying there is no such thing as a LDS-465 for the Deuce? I am pretty new, don't know a lot about what was in the older vehicles (or any of the vehicles, for that matter.)
But I am trying.

Fella on another board says the LDS-465 was the last iteration of the series, that it was intended for the 5 tons but was put into some Deuces, and that it generates roughly 200hp.
I am not familiar with all the different engines put into Deuces, does this sound right?

Man, I wish Camp Beauregard would let go of the ones they have sitting. There are two of them behind a fenced in area (not the DRMO area).
Looks like they've been sitting there for years.
There's also the hulk of a Pershing tank in there.

Yep, sometimes in the spring, the weather will be perfect, but occasionally showers can develop, it's a bit unpredictable, so I always keep a poncho and my LaCrosse boots handy.
Temp won't be a problem, most likely.

My brother and I will be there, if the good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise! And if y'all can handle a couple crazy Cajuns from the SouthWest LA prairie!
I should have my registration issues with OMV fixed by then! Keeping my fingers crossed.

ETA: Either weekend is good!
Well, FWIW, I kinda doubt that, since in my state the only one currently showing in "Locations" is Barksdale AFB. The auctions from other sites in LA that I have added to my watchlist are still showing up, I just can't see them in the "Locations" page.
I tend to think if they were...
:funny:
Ditto on that! I am having the same problems this morning also. May as well go fishing or hunting until they get it all repaired. Be back in a coupla days!!! LOL
LC
That is one clean looking Deuce. I think you did real well. Got mine at Camp Beauregard in Alexandria, it was in decent shape, but not as nice as yours.

This thread is relevant to my experience today. Took the Deuce out for a spin on the gravel roads around the house (been trying to do this at least every other weekend) to put some miles on it and work out any kinks.
Well, before I left today I was sure all tires were normal, though I did...
Anyone else notice auctions disappearing from GL in the past 24-48 hours? I was following some items, all of a sudden they are gone before the stated auction times.
Anyone have insight into why this happens?
Thanks,
LongueCarabine
Jeez, I read this whole thing and I am glad I did. I specifically got my Deuce with winch because here in South Louisiana, it's a necessity. The only access to a small plot of land my family owns is a pipeline right of way. And knowing how bad those ROW's get in winter, there was no way I was...
Being from South Louisiana, I've learned a little about how they did it "way back when" from my grandparents. Still a fair amount of the old Cajun ways of doing things are still around.
However, like Wreckerman I like having reading resources to fall back on. A while back I acquired most of...
