When one opens both doors on the back of an M109, what is the width and height of the hole? Most interested in the width..
Anyone know the width of he opening with either door opened as well?
I assume all M109's are alike in this regard..
Thanks,
Patrick

Just thinking about M109's..
The M35 with an S-280 is about 12Ft tall outside.
How does the M109 compare?
also, the S-280 gives you abot 6.5FT height, 6.5FT width, and about 12FT length inside. I think the M109 has quite a bit more room.
On bed width vs M109 body width, I'm wondering how...
I picked up a Raytheon radar unit with an 18.5" radome. I would ike to mount this on the truck pictured below, but not on top of the box due to clearance issues, the truck is almost 13FT tall with the shelter..
I was thinking about a telescoping mast mounted behind the cab, but as far as I...
Oh the humanity! Or the generatoranity, or something.
I let some friends use it on the condition, that no matter what happens, they must do preventice maintenance and regular maintenance, etc. and are responsible for it. They have been using it 2-4 times a week for a few months. The one guy...
OK the genset is not military, but it's on a military truck.
so.. The location of the oil drain plug on the engine is such that it makes a giant mess on the generator deck when removed. The generator engine has an aliminum block. The manufacturer sent me a pipe with metric threads on one end...

attached is a chart the guy at NAPA gave me when he sold me some 24V lamps to replace the 12V ones in my civvy trailer.
The chart covers many 6V, 12V, and 24V lamps found in vehicles

I drove it about 1.5 months ago, then parked it.. No charging issues at all. Last week, has several days of freezing, but otherwise upper 30-s and better. Yesterday, it was 60 degrees and I go to start the deuce and just got a few cranks and volts were 22.2 after cranking it a little. seriously...
Drove the beast to work today, temp was 20-30 degrees. Aside from ice on the road it was OK, took a while to start. A 12x18" sheet of 1/16" neoprene on the grille helped the temp get up to 160-180 and stay there.
So, as the speed increased, there was more and more of a rumbling feel in the...
The avatars here are limited to 160x160. The system then resizes them for display. This need not mean terrible detail.
Within reason, the 160x160 image can be worked on to provide more detail than normal under these circumstances.
In whatever graphics program is used, you must resize the...
I saw this in the control panel under "attachments". It's a good feature to know how much storage one is consuming with attachments and to be able to remove them individually if desired. I was shocked to see 53MB, but then realizd that is for all the attachments I ever added. So I will try to be...
Just found out I'll be at Cedar Hill State Park at 0530 Sunday.. There is an event called the "muddy buddy" race and the state guard is going to work it (safety, etc). Should be good training and it's always good to use the truck for official business.
This is likely to be similar to the...
