My son would like to see a set of hwmmv rims to put on the m1009. I assume I'll have to find a set of spacers to g along with them. I dont know much about that stuff and what all is involved in performing a task like that. If anyone has them, pm me and let me know the particulars. I cant see...
My neighbor recently purchased a m1009 that has been converted to all 12 volt. He askedme what the com port under the dash was for and I told him. Then then question was posed: Will the ste-ice work on his now 12 volt truck?
I would guess not due to himonly having (1) alt., (1) battery or am I...
I found a really good drivers seat at the bone yard; I used the old seat base and everything else fell into place. The seat was out of a 85' s-10 pick-up. The only bad side is that the seat does not fold forward. The plus is that I do have a reclining seat. And its cloth instead of vynal, a...
Try a front power window motor instead of the suburban motor. It will fit with some work and imagination. A buddy of mine did his civi blazer and it works fine. If you can find a civi motor from an old blazer at a junk yard it will be cheaper or........there's always _bay!

Nice pictures. All we got here was a dusting last week. Best Buck I've seen this year. The season here has been rotten.....too much rain. Nice looking rig you got there:beer:
Well, the military is currently getting rid of all the 6.2L hmmwv's and replacing them with the 6.5L engines/duramax if my source has told me correctly. If you ever happen to drive by or into a few of the DRMO lots, just look at all the hmmwv's they have sitting there. Granted most will be...
Just got done rolling the Home Depot carc substitute in the back of the M1009. I'm happy with it. I put (3) coats on and it looks real good. I also did a test spot using the brown carc substitute from page #1, I'm impressed, it is soo close to a perfect match for the money. Now I have to go...
Just made them up. I went to a local shop and they crimped the ends for me since they had a "big" crimp tool. Really it's easy, I just took the old cables off and took them with me to NAPA and got the same length. They didn't have the right crimp tool.
I think it looks alright. I just rolled the back end of my m1009 and used a small roller, I know looks arent important back there. I waiting to spray the rest of the truck due to rain as well.
