I replaced the rear injector and blew out the steel return line to clear up any clogs. The truck fired up, but still acted the same way. I pulled off all the passenger side return hoses from the injectors while the truck was running. I noticed that no fuel was coming out of the fuel return...
Installed new injectors and return lines. Bled the air out and started the truck. I got it to idle and I noticed fuel pouring out at the passenger rear injector (closest to firewall). It appeared that fuel was leaking at the return line. One of the return nozzles is capped off and the other one...
I have fuel weeping out of the disconnected fuel lines when I turn the motor over, so I'm guessing that fuel is getting to the IP. I will take out the glow plugs and continue to troubleshoot, thanks for the suggestions
Will do. I know I removed the engine ground that comes from the gound buss to the intake manifold and ground strap when I took the manifold off to replace the IP. Maybe I didnt hook those two grounds back up properly? If I remember correctly, both of the ground wires were bolted to the intake...
A bad engine ground would explain why my starter is acting real slow, right? Also, with two fully charged batteries (still need to load test them, they are new Interstate batteries though), my volt gauge on the dash stays in the yellow when I turn the key to the on position. When the glow plug...
Hmm. I've been cranking over the truck with all the injector lines completely off the injectors in an attempt to bleed the lines. I've installed an electric pump and blocked off the mechanical pump. I'm getting plenty of fuel to the filter, just not to the injectors. I'm going to tighten the...
I am trying to bleed the air out of the fuel lines at the injectors. I have read on here to crack the lines and start until fuel comes out. Am I supposed to completely remove the lines from the injectors or just loosen them a little? I have replaced all fuel components including, IP, fuel pump...
When I swapped pumps, I removed the whole original pump with the lines still connected (to make it easier to change out the injectors). I installed the lines on the new pump, and then installed the pump on the truck. The lines were hooked up to the IP at the time of installation, but not hooked...
Quick and possible silly question. When I replaced my injection pump and set the timing to the factory timing marks, I had to really pull hard and hold the ip in place while I tightened it down. Should there have been that much tension in the pump when rotating it to set the timing?
Also, I checked the pink wire on the ip and it clicks like its supposed to. I also installed an electric fuel pump when I replaced the ip. I tried again this morning and the truck is turning over real slow like the batteries are dying. I tested them and they both read 12.5 with the truck turned...
I recently replaced the IP, injectors, and did the spin on fuel filter mod. Over the last month I've had a heck of a time getting it to run/stay running.
First off, After I installed everything and bled the lines out, the truck fired right up then died after about 5 minutes. I looked over...
The solenoid on top of the starter on my m1009 cracked while reinstalling it. My question is is the solenoid a 24v or 12v solenoid? Where can I buy a replacement?
I loosened all the injector lines and attempted to.start it. I could hear the starter engage, but the motor would not turn over. I though I killed the batteries so I charged them up and it still did the same thing. My guess is I killed the Chinese dbelectric starter yesterday. Also, is it...
