    Kaiser jeep or Am General

My truck has no year of manufacture on its data plate. Carnac said my truck was a 1952, so originally it must have been a gasser. Someone else told me it had a gasser dash, so that confirmed to me that it probably was a 1952. When I filled out my SF97 I just filled it out as a 1952 Studabaker...

    Removing lug and budd nuts!

I had my 3/4" drive breaker bar with an 8' pipe on the end and I couldn't budge it. Another guy from the board brought over a torque multiplier and we put the 8' pipe on the end of the breaker bar on that which twisted off the end of the budd nut. Tried the tires on the other side and bent...

    Removing lug and budd nuts!

I tried heat and a pipe wrench, still will not budge. Although, I do only have a propane torch; but I've found if you hold it on there long enough it will get red hot just like with a regular torch. I'll have to try welding it on I guess. Thanks

    Removing lug and budd nuts!

Thanks guys, my dad said heat it up and apply a pipe wrench; just wanted to hear if anyone else had any other ideas. I will try that and if that doesn't work I'll find someone with a welder and try what dog head said.

    Removing lug and budd nuts!

I have a problem, searched for it...this seems to be the best thread to ask it in. ojsdna744 came over and bought some tires from me and brought his torque multiplier wrench to break loose some lug nuts. We got all the lug nuts loose and started on the budd nuts at which point one was...

    Columbus, OH Monday

I do not have any extra parts, and I am unsure where to get them. I was in town about 9:30 AM, and I left quickly to go to the USAF museum with the family.

They are the Phrobius m9 with sheath and sharpening stone, look brand new. I will have 3 for sale, unfortunately they will be around $100 (and I will not be making much money off of them either!)

    Columbus, OH Monday

I'll be at Columbus picking up some bayonets, does anyone need anything while I'm down there? Afterwards my family and I are driving over to Wright Pat to walk through the AF museum.

Am I missing something on the transmission

I'll take some pictures, it is gear oil. Different spots on the differential of the axle look to be leaking, and maybe some other spots. After a good cleaning, I'll drive it some and then take some pictures.

Am I missing something on the transmission

Should I power wash everything and so we can see the leaks better? Or should I leave it as is?

Am I missing something on the transmission

If yours is lot 5061 painted across the front of the hood is "does not start with slave" or something to that effect, mine said "slave starts", that is what I did and it fired right up! Mine had dead batteries, just put 2 new ones in Monday.

Am I missing something on the transmission

There is just lots of "wet" spots underneath a deuce and I want to make sure that I do not have any major leaks, but after sitting for who knows how long and then driving 550 miles it will probably develop some leaks. Thanks guys!

Am I missing something on the transmission

sorry, the search function here isn't very good. I did search, I typed in "transmission plug" I got page after page of threads that mention transmission or plug. I looked for awhile and couldn't find anything. It would help if the search function didn't search for each word independantly and...

Michigan bsck to bricks MV show

Well, I have my truck now! So I would really like to make it to this show. Just working on getting a title and plates...found insurance, but at $60 per month it is a little bit more than I wanted to pay. Does anyone have the inside track on titling the truck in MI? Do I have to get the SF97...

    Pull Starting The Deuce

My dad and I had to pull start my deuce, hooked up a tow strap to my wife's Tahoe, I pulled it about 1 foot and the truck started. My dad was in the truck, it was in high range and second gear and he popped the clutch and it started! That quick and easy.

    I want a deuce

Well, my EUC cleared and I picked up my truck last week. I had to start it with a slave cable, and the lights didn't work. Just picked up up batteries today and everything works great! I also started working on putting a dynomax bullet style muffler on. Here are some pictures of my journey...
