    HMMWV M1097R1 specific

Treat it as a M1097A2, the wiring is as stated a little different. If the GVWR is 10K then you have the 10K hubs brakes and half shafts, (M1097A1) lucky you as you can get the aftermarket half shafts cheap (with lifetime warranty) You are lucky to get that truck as most R1s have the 3 speed and...

Starting a new build waste of time, effort and money

That bar behind the seat is for things like shelters to land on and for the 2 door "pickup" fill plates to attach to, the civy models do not have it

    testing starter solenoid

As far as I know there is no real way to test it off of the starter, the plunger retracts as it pushes the starter drive into the flywheel and at the bottom of its stroke forces the contacts to power the starter motor. There are several reasons a starter just "drops out" sometimes it is the...

    4l80 code 22 tps

Measure C4 to ground, if the wire is not shorted to ground and you have no 5V reference at C4 then the TCM is bad. If you see a ground on C4 unplug the TPS and TCM and measure again, you will of course measure the TPS resistance with it plugged in.

    4L80E Fresh Rebuild in Limp Mode w/ codes 73 & 87

You would need to find a 6.2L TCM with the 4l80 as the 6.5L had an ECM and will not work, Autozone used to carry them but I think that source has dried up.

Bringing non-runner M1165A1 REV back to life!

I would put an oil pressure gauge on it and confirm it had oil pressure before continuing, you can simply screw a gauge into the 90 that the sending unit connects to.

    4L80E Fresh Rebuild in Limp Mode w/ codes 73 & 87

It was the older style with the EPROM, I had a spare bought off the internet used (civy source)

    Big block, twin turbos

How much body lift will that need?

    4L80E Fresh Rebuild in Limp Mode w/ codes 73 & 87

You can still ohm out the circuits, they should read aprox the same and nether should have a ground reference. Note, I did have a bad TCM not too long ago that gave a code 87

1123 200a gen breaking mount bolts

Then you have the updated bracket.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

How well does it pull that gooseneck?

1123 200a gen breaking mount bolts

The question is does your bracket bolt to the engine block or the exhaust manifold? they would both look very similar, no you do not need #3

1123 200a gen breaking mount bolts

Welcome to the SS forums! The only suggestion I have is to use high quality grade 8/10.8 or 12.8 bolts and lock washers, never re-use a bolt that has worked itself loose and locktite certainly would not hurt.

    New to me M1114

Both schematics have the "new" pump and remote reservoir shown. Edit, I just noticed there are three schematics, I never get that far

    New to me M1114

Here is the schematic with a winch, just delete the winch and go directly from the hydro-boost to the steering box. There is a schematic tor the A2 and the ECV etc.

Humvee Engine Knocking (yes it's actual knocking, probably)

I am not a big fan of changing the oil on an engine that has sat for a long time, as long as the oil looks OK I pull the plug just long enough to ensure there is no water or other funny stuff in there (then top it off a little over full to help the pump prime), then I start the engine for a...

Which states are not HMMWV friendly?

    Texas loves the HMMWV

    New to me M1114

There is no oil pressure "line" there is however a wire, it goes to the oil pressure sending unit held up by a bracket with a SS hose going into the rear left side of the intake manifold. And yes you can relocate the batteries, that would be a discussion best brought up in the mods/hotrod forum.

    4L80E Code 22 and 73

I am not sure, others have said this can cause issues although I have not seen it myself, clean it up with contact cleaner and see if it changes.

    Transmission Code 73

If it ohms out correctly from C15 to C16 at the TCM connector (inside the TCM box) and nether is shorted to ground then it is likely a bad TCM
