Outside of the brake issue, spent some time messing with the truck. Had a bunch of covers in the back....2 for m1078's and 3 for hummers....plus a couple more I don't know.

I took the wheel and drum off....everything looked good, however, it is obvious the brake shoes aren't hitting the drum. I tried adjusting, but either this isn't the issue or need to adjust more.

Could this cause the right hand pull when braking as well?

Dale, the he leak is in the front....when I release the parking break, there is also an air leaking sound. Any thoughts?

Nothing caged.....the emergency air supply leaks????? Do the brakes work from independent air supplies or is it only specific front to back?

Picked up my M1078 from Ft Campbell this morning and drove it almost 400 miles home....a bit easier driving than m923 or deuce. Curious of members' thoughts regarding the truck Illini to the right when braking. Could it be an air issue? here is a photo....

Have a pond that my deuce will go through with no problem. M923 weighs so much, it will bog down and spin.

Where are you picking it up? I'm in more or less the same boat since flat towing is not desirable. I assume you bought on govplanet? i have driven 3 m923's a total of 1400 miles in last few months with no problems, but also not sure how m1078 stacks up.

No problem....as example, my low quote at the moment is $1270 for trip to Springfield, MO (380 miles)

Aerialfred, was your GP contact Larry J? Any issues getting in touch? My last pick up at Ft Riley, GP gave me a contact that was bad....finally figured it out from someone on this site.

Its fairly simple.....go to their web-site and fill out your shipment requirements. Once that is complete, your requirements go into an auction type format for those trucking companies interested in your business.....you are not obligated to accept anything, so it is a good way to determine...

Thanks for the heads up Aerialfred....I saw the Thursday/Friday comment somewhere else and thought it couldn't be accurate, but now I know. You don't happen to know specifically where on base the vehicles are at? when are you headed over? If our days align, would you have any interest meeting...

Need to pick up m1078 in fort Campbell....how is the base and the govplanet rep? Machine should be drive able, but have never been to this base before.

Thanks for the heads up..... Do they move drive able trucks around with the loader? My last pick-up at fort Riley never saw the loader within a couple hundred yards of my truck.
