Can anybody do it for me if I need it? Can you make a recommendation of someone in the area? My EUC was just sent in, so it will probably be awhile.
Thanks,
Greg
I wish I could do less fixing and more driving! Latest problem is the #2 gen light came on bright while driving and doesn't go out. I read on another post that it could be a fuseable link that is the cause. Now to replace that link. If it connects to the firewall near the glow plug relay do you...
My M1008's tank had a leak and was removed by a prior owner. The pickup/sending unit was lost. Is the M1009 unit the same or close enough to use? I have a M1009 parts rig with the tank still in it so I could pull it if it would work.
Thanks,
Greg
I believe the starting problem with my M1009 has to do with the relay. I'm on my second one from Napa. I think I'm getting the wrong one. Its a ST88. Is this the right one? If not which one is? I have power to it but nothing comes thru. I have power at all the terminals but the bottom .
Thanks...
I'm looking for a front bumper for my M62. I need to know if all 5 ton bumpers are the same or not. If anybody close has one forsale I'm interested.
Thanks,
Greg
Can anyone help with a 5-ton considering I win it in this present auction ending 2/6. I may need somebody to pick it up and store it until I get there, or be a back up if it doesn't run. Maybe I should bid on 2 with the hope of having one that runs to tow the other.
Thanks,
Greg
I was wondering if they are prone to leaking. I have been interested in them as an RV(as in another thread) but they would not be much good if they leak whether opened up or closed. Do they have some preventive measure against leaking or are there rubber seals that weather with age. It rains...
I'm looking for the red light that rides on the front fender. My truck had it on the right fender, but I've seen others on the left between the turn signal and the hood.
Thanks,
Greg
I bought the M1009 as a parts vehicle as it was supposed to have a bad engine & trans. I put in a new starter and glow plugs and batterys and it started up nicely. The next time it acted like the glow plugs weren't working, it would't start. Tried it this morning and it started as soon as the...
My axle seal leaks and there is alot of slop in the lower joint. I also want to repack the wheel bearings but I can't get the spindle off. The manual says it may be necessary to tap the spindle but thats not working. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
I was intending to drive the truck home but...
It has about 1" of pedal before it hits the floor and doesn't change with pumping. I checked the master cylinder and it was full. Air pressure was good. Do you think air in the lines is the problem or something more serious? The truck has been...
I was intending to drive this truck home but...
The engine started ran a few minutes and died. I think it ran out of fuel. It wouldn't restart. Do I crack a line at each injector to bleed out air? How much engine cranking is required? Is the process the same with the deuce multi-fuel also? Thanks
I need to tow a CUCV about 500 miles with a 5 ton. I've got a tow bar but this is the 1st time I'll be using it. It doesn't appear to make a difference whether the adapters have the 3/4 hole up or down. Is there? I thought I would remove the rear driveline at the axle and tie it up. Front hubs...
I need to replace the belt on the air compresser. Looks like it takes a big wrench to separate the pulley. Is this correct? Where is the best place to get this tool? I checked the Saturn site and nothing is listed.
I drove the duece 200+ miles yesterday where the belt turned itself over on the...
For the front winch, do I fill it to the top? I only see the fill hole on top and the drain on the bottom. Couldn't find it in the manuals online. Do you guys mix some grease with the oil to make it thicker to leak less?
Thanks,
Greg
I have a 1953 Gasser that I'm trying to get road ready. It has a lifter noise problem that comes and goes about every 15 seconds. Oil pressure on the gauge reads 40lbs. Anyone dealt with this before? It does this at idle. I can't hear it in the cab so I'm not sure if this happens at higher...
