As cucvrus said, I put a humvee crossover on mine, but I had a leaking radiator, so I did several
things at the same time. I used a Summit double gauge setup, they are on sale sometimes for
cheap. The Summit gauges I ordered were black with a black bracket. Fits perfect under the
ashtray...
I'm going to. I spent 3 days working on it, I just have to wait for my next day off
to be able to do anything with it. I haven't done anything on this truck yet that wasn't
neglected or ignored by a previous owner.
Apparently, these trucks seem to be really good places to hide money your...
Day 3 turned out not much better. I cleaned lots of connections.
Eliminated a bunch of Fire Dept wiring, also a live 24v wire that
was just taped on the end, just hanging out under the dash. Cranked
after cycling the key several times, ran and warmed up, seemed ok.
Fixed a leaky radiator...
Day 2 update, work all done, now it doesn't start. No click,
nothing. It did this once or twice, I believe there is a bad
connection somewhere. At least I'm not 30 miles from home,
test light and battery charger for tomorrow.
You're telling me, I got a building with 3 sides and a dirt floor I work out of in the
summer, winter means a lot of not really doing much unless I can sneak in somewhere
Thanks Buddy, I'm using my favorite brother in law's building, I'm only a few feet
from the woodburner, it's T-Shirt weather over here. Hope my block heater shows
up tomorrow, I think I have everything else lined up.
Mine had a similar episode, the battery cable was bad between
the negative post on the rear battery and the solenoid on the firewall.
I put a jumper there, it cranked right up. I have always been
suspicious of that cable, it's a homemade one
As I have discovered before, and I'm sure lots of us can attest to,
sometimes we are our own worst enemy. This especially applies to
electrical connections, even if we "say" it's a temporary or "test"
connection.
I use the gray diesel kleen in the warm weather.
I use the white diesel kleen in the cold weather.
2 stroke TCW-3 year round.
Sometimes I have leftover atf I drop in there
omg
I'm not sure I could have let that one go.
It's a lot nicer than anything else I'm driving
plus it's nicer than anything I've owned for the
last 15 years. I think I understand fussing over it,
I bet shopping carts and tornados had it on the radar
