aua Hate I missed it guys, hoped to be there next month but the Marine Corp says I have to be in Raleigh for the all state meet. *Cough Cough* think I may be sick doctor says I'll have to drive an MV for 3 hrs.
I have talked to Wreckerman and he is going to retrieve my truck for me on Wed. and take it to Tony's in Rockmart. Then I'll have to go down on a weekdend and get the brakes fixed and drive it home.
Would also like to say thank you to Chris (IronHorsetheGeneral) for coming out to help, and for Eric (doghead) being my tech support. Also thanks to Clint and Tony for there help also. I got some pics of it to hold me till I can get it home. Again thanks.
I am home but the truck is still in GA. Couldn't get any brakes. Had to replace batts. and that fixed my guage problem. Still need to get it towed of the NG base.
Plan is to go to Poppop's tom. after work and pick up my tires, then find a place to stay and head to Kennesaw on Thurs. mornin', pick up my deuce and head back home, hope to be back here by 5pm.
Here is my route: from:11300 Reames Road, 28269 to:5680 Brooklet Denmark Rd, 30415 to:1901 McCollum...
Wasn't sure if you left the tapered stock piece in, but I'll loosen the bolts and remove it. The instructions weren't very clear and tech support was closedaua.
And wasn't sure about the plate on the bottom of the axle because the PS U-bolts were parallel but the DS bolts looked a little Y'd to...
When putting the blocks under a M1008 the steel wedge that is stock, does it get removed, put on top or bottom of the block?
And the plate that the U-bolts bolt to does it go a certain way or is in universal?
It was good to finally put some faces with some screen names, and hear other peoples truck stories and just shoot the bull. Look forward to a trail ride and a sausage beef sandwich. Kudos to the chef.
