I bought a Dodge tug last week from GL. It has a Dana 70 with 7.17 gears and a Detroit Locker. My question is: if I do an axle swap as long as the distance from spring mount to spring mount is the same, I can put any axle I want ex. a M1009 axle?

Well the original game plan is to get the 817 running and driving. I have not seen it in person since I bought and am just going off of what my dad has told me. The engine looks complete, the body has some cosmetic damage, and the interior needs seats and a light switch and it is missing the pto.

The only thing that was 24V on the CUCV's was the starter and the junction blocks everything else was 12V. The DS alt charged the front batt and the PS alt. charged the front AND rear batt.
